FRINGE Podcast & Pics to Prep You for Tonight’s New Episode
September 16, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Tonight on Fox is the second episode of the most buzzed about show of the Fall season – FRINGE. There was mixed reaction to the first episode. For the most part I think most of you enjoyed it, but you were certainly hoping for something more to grasp on to in future episodes. Fair enough. As I’ve said many times before, I’m not usually a big fan of pilot episodes, so I’m really excited to see what the FRINGE team is going to be bringing tonight in episode #2. It’s usually in the second episode that you get a much better sense of pacing, character development and where the show is going to take us. So I’m ready and excited for tonight.

Tonight on FRINGE…
In tonight’s episode, “The Same Old Story”, the bizarre death of a woman who gave birth to a rapidly aging baby after an hours-long pregnancy challenges the nascent partnership between Dr. Bishop, Peter and Olivia, who reaches out to Massive Dynamic’s Nina Sharp for answers.

Is anyone else as excited as I am for FRINGE tonight?

I need to rewatch it – I was making dinner and cleaning the kitchen during the episode (bad timing, I know). So far, Fringe reminds me of a very grown-up version of Kyle XY meets X-Files meets House. Odd combination, but so far I really like it!
I think I liked this episode a little less than the premiere – not sure why. I was really confused during some of it, which isn’t a new thing for me! But having Joshua Jackson there looking all kinds of grown up handsome? Yeah, that will make anything better. I really enjoy the Outer Limits/X-Files feel to the show – and I adore the cast too, so I’ll keep watching.
