Congrats to Amy Poehler and Will Arnett on the birth of their baby boy!

Archie Arnett was born on Saturday and weighed in at 8 lbs., 1 oz. With his lineage, I’m sure he’s already cracking up the nurses.

Can’t wait to see pics of the little cutie.

Seth Meyers handled Weekend Update desk all by himself tonight.  No word on who will take over as the new Weekened Update co-host on a more permanent basis.

Last Thursday might have been Amy Poehler’s last regular appearance on SNL. With the exception of a few cameos, Poehler has said that once the baby was born she wouldn’t be returning to the show.  Her new show, from the creators of THE OFFICE, starts shooting this winter and will premiere in Spring.

Congrats again to Amy & Will!!

    Is it wrong that I nearly got tears in my eyes. First off, I totally was guessing a boy, and so YES for guessing right (a 50% chance, sure). But I’m so happy, she seems so great, and ditto that for Will, and I’m excited for them and all sorts of silly giddiness considering I don’t even know them.

    Aw, I’m so happy for them. I hope everyone is doing well. I’m sad her big send-off won’t be happening next week, but I hope that she’ll come back at some point. Maybe she can host the week before her new show starts?

    It was probably the Sarah Palin rap from last Saturday night..the baby couldn’t take it any more! Congrats to the funniest couple around. 🙂

    Aww congrats to Amy and Will. According to a release, it seems the baby’s name is Archie. 😉

    I like the name Archie too, although it does sound more of a nickname.

    Okay, I’m officially jealous of this kid. I wish Amy and Will were my parents.

    Aww! Big congrats to Amy and Will. I heard on the news that she had a boy, but didn’t know the name. I knew GMMR would have all of the details, though!!
