What to Watch…Monday, October 27, 2008
October 27, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Listen up – Fox has baseball tonight and CBS has a full night of reruns. That means that your schedule should be free enough to watch CHUCK at 8pm on NBC and then turn on the DVR and watch the episode of GOSSIP GIRL that you recorded while you were watching CHUCK. Thanks to Fox and CBS for making it that easy.
“Hey brother.” Tonight is a big night for ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT fans as Tony Hale (aka Buster Bluth) is guesting on both CHUCK and SAMANTHA WHO?. I knew both these guest spots were coming, but I didn’t think they would be on the same night. “And that’s why you don’t use a one-armed person to scare someone!”
One last thing… As I mentioned on Friday, we are doing the prep work necessary for the upcoming relaunch of GiveMeMyRemote.com. Since the backend upgrade on Friday the site has been noticeably slower. We are aware of it and working on it. I do apologize. Things will be back to normal soon. I promise.
Ok, now on to the shows…
Chuck | 8pm on NBC
Life in espionage takes its toll on Chuck, and he is forced to try to explain his unusual behavior to the Buy More efficiency expert (Tony Hale); a global terrorist comes looking for Jeff. [GMMR: I’m not sure if I could be any more excited to see Tony Hale guest on CHUCK tonight. It’s finally here! Oh and P.S. – CHUCK has been hurting in the ratings, so do me a favor and tune in already!!! ]
Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW
Jenny makes friends with a model (Willa Holland) who encourages her to confront Eleanor Waldorf, who has been trying to “borrow” Jenny’s designs; Serena meets an artist and realizes they have instant chemistry; Blair tries to seduce Chuck. [GMMR: Fans of THE O.C. know Willa Holland as the devilish but good intentioned Caitlin Cooper. Willa is sassy so I can’t imagine she’s going to be a good influence on Little J. ]
Heroes | 9pm on NBC
Nathan and Tracy try to free themselves, Maya, and Suresh’s other test subjects; Elle returns with a surprise for Claire and her family; Angela tries to convince Sylar to save Peter.
One Tree Hill | 9pm on The CW
Lucas’ novel receives surprising interest; Jamie finds Sam and her rebelliousness charming; Nathan’s basketball comeback gains momentum.
Samantha Who? | 9:30pm on ABC
When Dr. Andy (Tony Hale) gives Samantha pills as part of a clinical trial to help people with memory loss, she regains memory fragments that remind her how bad she used to be. [GMMR: Whoa whoa whoa…Tony Hale again?]
My Own Worst Enemy | 10pm on NBC
Edward must go to Mexico and get schematics of Russia’s next-generation nuclear bomb; Tom’s wife becomes suspicious of his many business trips and hires a private investigator
Boston Legal | 1opm on ABC
Alan and Denny take a break from the office and go to a dude ranch in Utah; Shirley defends Catherine Piper (Betty White) after she sets her doctor’s office on fire for prescribing medication that almost killed her.
What will YOU be watching?

Whoa, wait. Chuck is hurting in the ratings department too? What?!? Crap, if we lose both Chuck and Pushing Daisies this year I might as well just crawl into a corner and die. Sounds dramatic, but the idea of losing my two favourite things from last season is just depressing!!
