Jon Hamm to Ham in up on 30 ROCK
October 30, 2008 by Kath Skerry
For someone as perpetually single as Liz Lemon, when she does find a man she sure lands ’em good. Of course we’ll never forget Floyd played by the uber sexy Jason Sudekis (sue me I have a type) and now there is a new man in Liz’s future…and this one is one suave cat.
Ausiello has just confirmed that MAD MEN star, Jon Hamm, is in talks to be courting Liz Lemon in a multiepisode arc of 30 ROCK later this season. Please let this happen. Please.
Coming off its brilliant second season finale, MAD MEN is all the rage right now. And there’s been a little tiny bit of buzz around Tina Fey as of late. Let’s see what happens when two of TV’s underdogs come together.
Oh, when worlds collide, we are very, VERY happy.
Don’t forget to check out the season premiere of 30 ROCK tonight at 9:30pm on NBC.
A special thanks to Team GMMR’s 30 ROCK correspondent, Kari, for this sharing this news. Check back in later tonight for Kari’s take on tonight’s season premiere.
I think I could say without a doubt that this would be the highlight of my TV season if this actually happened! We saw on SNL the great range Jon has, so I’d be really interested to see what kind of character they had him play. Obviously he can do the buttoned-up business guy very well, but it would be fun to see him a little looser. Can’t wait for the 30 Rock premiere!!
I’m with Elizabeth on this one–Jon Hamm has a great comedic side (his stint on SNL was genius!). I’d love to see Hamm with a side of Lemon. Or Lemon with a side of Hamm? Or Hamm with a slice of Lemon on top? Okay, I’ll stop now.
30 Rock is on FIRE! I cannot believe the guest’s they are booking this year! Not the tabloid covers like most shows go for. Tina Fey is booking bonafide stars that I love. All Hail Tina!!!!!
Lishka’s comment made me hungry.
From what I saw on SNL, Jon Hamm seems like a funny guy so I can’t wait to see him on 30 Rock. BUT, I hope he doesn’t replace Floyd as Lemon’s leading man. I miss the Floydster.
Thanks for the update. I’ve never seen this particular TV show before, but at this rate, I seem to be learning something new every day.
