Barack Obama Elected President!!
November 5, 2008 by Kath Skerry
I’m proud to share the news that Barack Obama has been elected as the 44th President of the United States of America.
No matter what your political affiliation, it’s a historic day in this country.
“I urge all Americans…to not just congratulate him but offer our next President our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited. Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans…” – John McCain

Awesome and Amazing….and very excited to see what kind of puppy will be living in the White House!
Despite the grandiose nature of tonight’s events, how much do you want to bet that hearing about that puppy was the highlight of night for Obama’s daughters!!
I am so excited for an Obama presidency and even more excited as a Virginian that we went Blue tonight!
Congratulations America!! As one of your neighbours to the north I couldn’t be happier for you! And Kath, I’m totally with you on the puppy news being the highlight for the girls, lol.
Puppy! Obama! What a great night!…
Worried about 8 in Cali, but wow, elections can really take over the evening and it was enjoyable. 🙂
Bummer…hopefully his record in the white house will be better than his in the senate….

McCain was so great during his speech. I just wish some of my local networks had chose to air it.
This is where I lost it: http://tinyurl.com/5tbpn6
God help us all. McCain’s speech was more presidential than his.
Aww … puppy!! I missed that in the speech, but saw it in reading this site. Can’t wait to hear all about the new Presidential Puppy!!
I felt as though I was sharing in history. What a night!
You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
