About Last Night: FRINGE and ELI STONE
November 19, 2008 by Kath Skerry
Playing catch up on a week of missed TV is not easy. That’s a lot of TV watching in a short amount of time. And thus I’m asking you to forgive me for missing out on last night’s episodes of FRINGE and ELI STONE. I don’t have a good excuse other than to say that by the time I got caught up on missed shows from last week and some of the shows from last night it was past 1am and mamma had to get some Zzzz’s.
Because of my suckitude I have nothing to offer up on either of these shows. And this is why I’m turning the blog over to YOU. Recap, review and share your thought on last night’s FRINGE and ELI STONE!! (Hold your comments on HOUSE…it’s coming soon.)

Ooh! Fringe was really, really good. I ended up watching this show because of Josh Jackson, but I’ve come to love all of the other players, and adore Walter! This time it was Walter’s show, as he went back inside the mental institute that cost him his sanity in the first place. Extremely entertaining, and my heart honestly bled for him having to be there again, and then by a stroke of bad luck being locked up in a room overnight again.
I’ve found my love for this show growing as the weeks go on, and this episode the love definitely peaked. I don’t want to spoil too much, but it was a good one – great suspense, great plot, and a fabulous ending. But is anyone but us watching, GMMR??
I completely understand. I’m a bit behind, too. Though if you get a chance, watch Eli Stone. It was a fantastic episode. I’ll be recapping it on my site, but really, it’s worth it for you to watch it yourself. Some great stuff on there.
Last night’s Fringe was definitely my favorite so far – intriguing plot and good character-development. The ending really confused me, and I had to get my husband to explain it to me!
I love Fringe – though it took me a couple episodes to really get into it. One friend hasn’t watched in weeks, and it kills me not to be able to discuss it with her.
I was kind of giving up on Fringe- but I just finished watching last nights episode and it was really good. I guess I’ll stick with it for a little while longer
I thought for a second that Walter would reveal to Peter that he planned up the whole upset thing to spend more time with Kim.
Eli Stone was good! I liked the banter between Keith and Patty. Nice to see some different characters sharing scenes. I loved that Patty’s daughter had her characteristics. Nice little mess Keith is getting himself into.
I love watching Spy Daddy sing and smile. What a fun devil-inspired red shirt he had on!
Matt Dowd is becoming a really great character. They are not making him a cookie-cutter @$$hole like on most shows. Since he’s dating Taylor he has to have SOME redeeming qualities. Loved last week when he was so exhausted from CARING about his client. It’s not for him, all that caring. lol
Loved being surprised by the pregnancy, instead of being in on the secret. That was a great scene with Taylor and Jordan.
I am mashing a couple of weeks together….sue me
Can’t wait to see more of Maggie! Love that they aren’t making the whole show about the sexual chemistry between them.
Kat – please explain the ending of Fringe for me… what the heck was with that apple? Intriguing show and am now officially hooked.
Apparently the big deal isn’t with the apple itself – seems like he pulled the apple through the walls of the safe. I’m going to go back and watch it again. That’s the information that I got from the Fringe chat thing on the Fox website.
Also, the guy with the apple at the end of this episode is the same guy with the heart-monster thing from last week… so something interesting/evil must be going on with him, and we might see him as a big player in the plot.
Thanks, Kat, I thought that might be it. Others are talking about cloning but it seemed to me to be what you mention. I thought that might be Loeb but given last week he was unconscious most of the ep, it was hard to recognize him.
Thanks for the explanation, Kat! I watched that part and figured it meant something bad, but I, too, figured he either pulled it through the wall (which isn’t supposed to happen!), or he cloned it somehow with the wiggly rubber things. I love how the episodes have that last minute “weird moment” that doesn’t really connect with the episode, and gives you the idea something very, very wrong is going on (possibly with Massive Dynamics?)
