Settle in kids because there is some good TV on tonight. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed as I missed all of last week’s Tuesday night TV, but I’m sure I can overcome. I’m excited to get settled in tonight.
Here are just a few highlights from tonight’s TV lineup:
House | 8pm on Fox
An emancipated minor (Emily Rios) working as a factory manager falls ill on the job; Foreman takes on a pediatric case that has him questioning whether he can function without House’s oversight.
The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC
The contestants participate in 1980s week, complete with ’80s-style workouts and a special themed challenge; two contestants who aren’t speaking to each other cause friction in the house; a contestant is eliminated.
NCIS | 8pm on CBS
The team must play a dangerous war game that leads to very real consequences for one team member.
90210 | 8pm on The CW
Harry and Debbie welcome Sean into their home; the gap between Kelly and Brenda gets wider; Naomi hangs out with a new group of girls; Silver feels threatened when a cheerleader shows too much interest in Dixon.
Privileged | 9pm on The CW
Megan has a good date with Will but can’t deal with the fact that he is dating several other women; Laurel asks Megan to find information about the man Laurel once had a secret affair with; Rose decides to cheat on a test. [GMMR: When I come up for air I have lots of goodies to share from my set visit to PRIVILEGED. I mean, it’s not every girl gets to lounge on a bed while she talks to Brian Hallisay (Will), right? Ok, ok so JoAnna Garcia was there too, but still. Lots of fun behind-the-scenes PRIVILEGED stuff coming your way soon. Make sure you tune in tonight!!]
Fringe | 9pm on Fox
A sequence of flashing lights during the kidnapping of a young music prodigy (Charlie Tahan) leads Walter back to his former bunkmate at St. Claire’s Hospital.
The Mentalist | 9pm on CBS
Patrick stages a seance to prove that a supposed psychic, who predicted that a murder victim was in danger, is a fake and a killer.
Eli Stone | 10pm on ABC
Eli fights to maintain a billionaire philanthropist as a client; Keith represents Patti’s daughter when she is arrested for DUI; Maggie and Matt try to expose a mole working within Jordan and Eli’s new firm.[GMMR: I sometimes forget ELI STONE is on. It’s always a bright spot in my Tuesday, but does it have to be on so late. A girl has got to get her sleep.]
Without a Trace | 10pm on CBS
The team learns a shocking truth while searching for a missing paraplegic who was injured in a car accident two years earlier — one that may explain his disappearance.
Law & Order: SVU | 10pm on NBC
Elliot Stabler puts his marriage at risk when he goes undercover to gain access to an animal smuggling ring with Olivia posing as a prostitute.
What shows are YOU watching tonight? What shows are you most excited about?

I just can’t stop watching this clip. It keeps making me giggle. I can only imagine how many times they had to do this scene before they got through it without breaking. Best moment of TV last night.

GOSSIP GIRL: The Magnificent Archibalds

Last night on a very special Thanksgiving day episode of GOSSIP GIRL…
Now that Dan and Serena have called it quits, how abouts Lily and Rufus just get on with the re-falling in love and getting married stuff? They make such a nice family to begin with, can’t Lily just leave Bass-Ass already? I mean what kind of man keeps files on his family? There is no other purpose to keep that information other than blackmail. And we wonder why Chuck is so screwed up.
Back to a happier place- In addition to thinking Lily and Rufus are all kinds of cute together, I think it would be nice for the van der Woodsen’s and the Humphrey’s to Brady bunch it up and become a strong, stable family unit. They can stay in on Saturday’s and build houses of cards and perhaps participate in some potato sack races in the back yard. All games would of course include booze, but I’m ok with that.
Rashida Jones Coming Back to NBC

Rashida Jones is coming back to a buzzed about NBC comedy. But don’t fret Jim and Pam fans, ‘shida isn’t going to be messing with the golden couple. Ms. Jones will be joining “The Untitled Amy Poehler Project” aka (or better – formerly known as) The Office non-spinoff.
Rashida was rumored to be joining the cast way back in the day when Executive Producers Greg Daniels and Michael Schur were still considering a true Dunder Mifflin spinoff, but no official word came out until today.
The New York Post spat out the casting news this morning on their Page Six blog, but with the news item also came a little bit about how Rashida and John Krasinski (sorry I didn’t like the way that looked) Rashida and former OFFICE co-star, John Krasinski, started dating after they met on set. Since Page Six got the news of their romantic meeting wrong, I wondered about the validity of the casting scoop too. But OfficeTally.com has confirmed with Michael Schur that Rashida will indeed be joining the show and that she will be playing a nurse named Ann.
Are you excited about Rashida coming back to TV. I am!! Woo to the Hoo!! I’m excited for the Amy Poehler show in general so this just added to it.
(And no, I don’t know the romantic status of Rashida and John, an no…I don’t want to discuss it either.)
Chuck vs. The Fat Lady

Raise your hand if you’re pissed at Chuck Bartowski right now! Yeah, that’s what I thought. He is being such a turd! Alright, though, deep breaths … because at least we can comfort ourselves that this was an awesome episode, as we have come to expect from Chuck!
There are so many angles to attack this one from, but I think we should start with Jill. Billy annoyed me the entire episode by insisting that she was about to be revealed as a Fulcrum agent, which of course she was. I mean, I know that Chuck isn’t necessarily known for its shocking twists and whatnot, but it still makes me so mad at Billy that he always knows what’s going to happen. He’s been doing this the entire time I’ve known him and I’ve mostly gotten him to keep it to himself, but apparently he just couldn’t hold it in last night, so the reveal was a little anti-climactic for me, although I thought Sarah and Casey’s shocked faces were great.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: Wooo!

Woooo! You ready for delve into this episode? Bring your earplugs if girl screams are not your thing.
We start off the episode with Robin still unemployed and adrift. It seems like she and Marshall switched places. For the first few episodes of this season Marshall was jobless and, let’s be honest, creepy. Now Robin is jobless and really chatty. Marshall, however keeps talk-blocking her. She wants some Robin-Lily time and he keeps getting in the way. I loved that every time she would replace the specifics of the story with general words Marshall still understood the story. Unlike Barney’s conquests, we don’t normally hear about Robin’s. I assume events transpire but she’s not one to brag like the ol’ Barnacle.

Dear Gossip Girl Writers/Producers,
Please get rid of Aaron. All due respect to John Patrick Amedori, but Aaron is a dud. He makes Serena even more boring. I didn’t know that was possible.
That is all.
XOXO,

What…I miss one episode of SNL and it’s actually funny?! Damn! I’m going to have to find a way to watch the full episode because I love me some Paul Rudd.
While you are probably all ‘been there, seen it’, I just now saw these two clips from this weekend’s SNL. Since I thought they were funny I decided to post them. I have a blog…that’s what I do.
Any other SNL clips I should look for?
BROTHER & SISTERS Recap: Going Once… Going Twice

Happy Monday GMMRers. Jamie again with your Brothers and Sisters action this week. I apologize for the lack of update last week, I was enjoying California and when I returned home, I discovered all my shows hadn’t taped. After recovering from my despair I managed to pull myself together and watched online.
So here’s a brief catch-up of what happened last week. Tommy and Julia celebrated their wedding anniversary in a magical way while Justin and Rebecca get spooked about their own romance but in the end exchanged “I love you”’s to each other. Sarah realized that Kyle and Ethan are just big children but the boys surprisingly make all the changes to the site they needed and show their commitment to the project. Nora tries to convince George Lafferty that he could trust her and her family and Holly pooped all over her efforts. Meanwhile Kitty’s fears and paranoia cost the McCallisters’ a shot at adoption when the birth mother passes on them.
This week Kevin attempts to over compensate for his recent pay cut by seizing Nora’s dream house from her grasp as a gift to Scotty. Yet again another Walker family dinner and Justin tries to play matchmaker and set Saul up. So let’s jump right into the madness……
DEXTER: The Damage a Man Can Do

We are coming down the homestretch, aren’t we? Does anyone know how many episodes are left? If memory serves me correctly (something that is often NOT the case) seasons of “Dexter” end about December or January, right?
Before we get started, I wanted to say how much I LOVED how much discussion there from last week’s post. That’s what GMMR is here for, for all of us to get together and talk this stuff out, so I was glad to have some traction in that department, finally. To address some things:
I totally agree with JGirl, who brought up the fact that Yuki kinda dropped the ball on the investigation. I don’t think we’re done with it, but it took way too long to find out what Quinn did and how everything actually happened.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES: City on Fire

Hey guys! It’s Tricia back for the big November sweeps episode of Desperate Housewives. A lot went down this episode, so without further ado, let’s jump in.
Andrea Bowen returns this episode as Julie, who’s now a 24-year-old grad student. Julie brings home quite a surprise for Susan; a 40 year old college professor! Susan is none too happy about this romance and when Lloyd tells her that he’s planning to propose, Susan is horrified. She does her best to stop him, even going so far as to obnoxiously cut in on Lloyd and Julie while their dancing. I thought this scene was hilarious. Watching Susan awkwardly dance next to Lloyd and Julie was very amusing. Shortly after, Susan spills the beans about the proposal, and Julie is horrified. It turns out she has no intentions of getting married now, or ever. I thought it was unbelievable that Julie would be quite that jaded; being a bit more cautious would make sense but not being as much jaded as she is. Susan was being quite the hypocrite too; when she was attacking Dave for being married three times, I wanted to point out to her that’s she’s been married three time as well! It seems pretty convenient Susan doesn’t seem to remember that she married Carl twice. I was glad to see Julie again and Steven Weber as her boyfriend was a great surprise. Unfortunately, I don’t think either will be sticking around.
Goodbye for Now L.A.

In a few hours I will be boarding a plane and heading back to Boston. I can’t say I’m excited to end my vacation, but I guess I don’t have much choice in the matter. It was a fantastic trip and one you will be hearing about more over time.
In the few days that I was here I feel like I got the full L.A. experience. In terms of TV, I got to hang out on the sets of PRIVILEGED and CHUCK as well as attend a taping of THE BIG BANG THEORY. Not too shabby. I’ll be posting some pics and my experience behind-the-scenes soon.
Being on set wasn’t my only chance to geek out on all things TV. We got a private tour of the WB lot where we got to see a few sets from some of our favorite shows. While I was way more excited than I should be to see the Seaver’s house from GROWING PAINS (check out the latest TV Talk Podcast to hear more about my love of all things Mike Seaver), I was sad to see an empty piece of land where the gazebo of GILMORE GIRLS Star Hollow once stood.
The great thing about being on the studio lot is that stars are just out and about everywhere. At lunch we sat next to the Notorious B.A.G – Brian Austin Green of T:SCC and the original 90210 fame. I’ve seen him before and he is still damn hot. Also spotted in the commissary were Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti of the MENTALIST. And just a few minutes after checking out the sets of ER on our private tour we run into the star of ER, Angela Bassett and her husband, Courtney B. Vance. Fun, right?
If you ever go to the WB lot, I think you should definitely take the tour. On Friday, we had two tours drive by us while I was outside talking with Zachary Levi of CHUCK. You should have seen the smiles on the tourists faces as Zach gave them him signature smile and a good ol wave.
On the lot weren’t are only L.A. celeb sightings. Thursday night while strolling around The Grove we saw the gorgeous Rodrigo Santoro of “Love Actually” and LOST. Back at The Grove on Saturday we spied Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) and her husband Ian Gomez (“Felicity”). And I can’t forget the money celeb spotting – Weird Al Yankovic. Saturday we also saw Anthony LaPaglia of WITHOUT A TRACE with his family at the Century Plaza Mall. Score!
On Friday my friend Steph and I grabbed a glass of wine at Chateau Marmont only to have Cameron Diaz come in and sit a few tables over from us. Tall, skinny…yeah I hated her. Ha!
Friday night we had dinner at Nobu along with Ryan Seacrest. Ok, maybe we weren’t eating with Seacrest but two tables over is close enough, right? Had we gone to Nobu on Thursday night we would have been “dining” with Madonna and the Beckhams. I use the word “dining” loosely because (a) of course we wouldn’t have been eatng with them, and (b) there is no way I would have been able to eat in the presence of David Beckham.
So for a couple of girls from Boston who still geeks out over the celebrity sightings and all things quentisential L.A., we had a fabulous time. Personally, I’m counting the minutes until I’m able to return.
Keep checking back to GMMR for more pics and tales from my week in L.A.
30 ROCK: The One With the Cast From Night Court

Leave it to 30 ROCK to borrow the episodic naming scheme of “Friends” and then use it not to spotlight the episode’s actual “Friends” alumnus but an acting trio from another, even more distantly past NBC sitcom.
Yes, Liz and Jenna’s old Chicago buddy Claire blew into town in the form of Jennifer Aniston, sporting a strange jumble of handmade hats and one of those classic Midwestern full-body tans. (Has a 30 ROCK guest star ever looked more out of place? From her bare & buff arms to her meticulously sun-bleached locks, I had a hard time reconciling the sheer physicality of her with the pale and considerably less taut New York likenesses of our usual crew.)
SUPERNATURAL: I Know What You Did Last Summer

There was a lot to digest in this week’s episode of Supernatural in terms of the overarching storyline. On the one hand, we had a present-day predicament that delves further into the Angel/Demon face-off that’s been building all season. On the other hand, we got to take a look back over the summer that Sam spent with Ruby while Dean was enduring Lucifer-knows-what in The Pit. This storyline is proving to be highly controversial in the SPN fandom – I’ll throw in my two cents down below. There wasn’t a Big Bad of the Week this time around – instead the feature character was a girl named Anna who appears to figure quite heavily in the weeks to come. Since the show was divided into past/present, I’ll do the same with my review, starting with…
CRUSOE: Bones

This week’s episode centers around the ever-so-appetizing subject of cannibalism.
A group of cannibals arrive on the island and when Crusoe and Friday realize the cannibals have brought captives with them, they realize they must try to save the captives before they try to escape themselves. They’re able to fend off the cannibals and rescue one of the captives, and when they pull off the captive’s mask, we learn it’s none other than the Spanish captain Santana.
Crusoe and Friday take Santana back to their tree house where they tie him up and hold him captive. Santana keeps asking them to let him go so he can save his fellow captive, but Friday and Crusoe aren’t totally convinced his motives are pure. (They think he actually wants to steal the cannibals’ boat). Crusoe and Friday leave the tree house and discuss how to handle Santana, but Santana escapes and holds them at gunpoint and then escapes into the woods as their backs are turned.
