Who Made it Through on AMERICAN IDOL?

Wait? Do the IDOL hopefuls really lip synch in the group numbers? Am I the only person in America that didn’t realize this until tonight? I have seen a few missteps before but there is no way they could have been singing live as each and every one of the contestants were screwing up all throughout Katy Perry’s “Hot and Cold”. Wrong words, not singing at all. A mess. If it is indeed pre-recorded then I’m equally shocked that they don’t sound better. Yikes.
Oh, my bad. Welcome to AMERICAN IDOL.
Tonight we’ll watch to see who will join Lil Rounds in the Top 12 of this week. The girl is a shoe in, right? And deservedly so. We’re also going to find out which bypassed contestants will get a second shot during tomorrow night’s Wild Card Round.
But first let’s put some butts on those silver stools, ok?
The first contestant joining Danny, Alexis, Kris, Adam, Allison, Michael in the Top 12 is…
Lil Rounds! Wow, shocking! At least we got her out of the way. No need to create an fake drama or tension, you knew she was going through.
Joining Lil is Scott MacIntyre. Hmm. I thought he would be put through, but personally I don’t think he deserves to be there based on the vocals alone.
And the final person joining the Top 12 from this group is Jorge Nunez!
Did I call it or what?
Really disappointed that Ju’Not Joyner didn’t make it. Perhaps he’ll make the Wild Card cut?
I’m also hoping that Ricky Braddy, Matt Giraud, Anoop Desai and yes, Norman Gentle make it through. Sorry ladies, but the talent just isn’t there this year.
The judges conferred and chose eight contestants to come back tomorrow night and sing once again.
- Von Smith (This spot could have gone to someone else)
- Jasmine Murray (Really?)
- Ricky Braddy (Woo Hoo!!)
- Megan Corkrey (I can see this)
- Tatiana del Toro (OH GOOD GOD!)
- Matt Giraud (YES!!)
- Jesse Langseth (So NOT a fan)
- Anoop Desai (ANOOP!Dawg)
Still disappointed about Ju’Not. I think he could have taken the spot of Von Smith. And really…Tatiana? You’ve got to be kidding me!!
The wild cards will be back to sing tomorrow night. Fingers crossed that Ricky Braddy, Matt Giraud and Anoop kill it.

Oh good god what is up with tatiana shes crazy and laughs like a hyena! I swear if she makes it through one more time…i will rip my hair out! Ahhhh! I mean why in gods name would they pick her for a wildcard!! AHHH! Oh well i cant wait till next week when tatiana gets da boot! haha!
Oh man seriously Tatiana. Seriously why dont they just kill me now. I seriously can’t stand her she is the most annoying person i have ever heard.
Guy wildcard = pretty good, girls = not so much. I liked Felicia a lot more than any of these others, boo. Unfortunatel\y, Tata actually can sing so we’re stuck with her but hopefully not for long. Anyone know what he gender mix needs to be from this group?

If they wanted to split the genders correctly and have an even mix of girls & guys, they would need to have all 3 wild card slots go to girls. I don’t think that they can do it because there just isn’t enough talent on the girls side.
I imagine it’ll go the way of the rest of the shows – 1 girl and 2 guys. I’m predicting Megan, Anoop, & Matt but we’ll see!
