CHUCK Week Day Two
April 7, 2009 by Kath Skerry
It’s only Day 2 of CHUCK Week here on GMMR and it’s been amazing. Applause to each and every one of you who left a comment, sent Tweets, shared the links – so fantastic! But we’ve got a full week to try to get some new people to watch, so let’s keep up the momentum.
In addition to SB’s review of last night’s CHUCK vs. The Dream Job, I thought I’d share one of my favorite (recent) CHUCK moments. The music on CHUCK is the best on TV. This we know. But when Jeffster covered one of my favorite songs of all time, I was beside myself with glee.
So from me to you to Africa. I present…Jeffster.
Here’s a roundup of others sites who are talking about CHUCK today. Please be sure to thank them for showing the CHUCK love. And visit “Inside the Intersect” throughout the day, all week for the latest CHUCK posts.
Be a Nerd. Join the Herd. Save Chuck. Lend your voice to other CHUCK fans – both new and old.
First I wanted to post a message that Zachary Levi sent to Zachary-Levi.net about all the various Save Chuck campaigns (not just ours but those that came well before we got involved.)
“Its amazing to see how many campaigns have sprung up for the sole purpose of keeping Chuck around. To know that our show evokes that kind of support within our fanbase is overwhelming. On behalf of our entire cast & crew, I personally want to thank each and every one of you who has taken up the fight. And I ask that if we are blessed enough to provide you all with another season, that you would fight just as passionately as you are now to spread the word about the show to those who haven’t given it a chance yet.
Much Love & God Bless,
zac

- Reasons to Watch Chuck #2: The Art of the Throwaway – “One of my very favorite things about Chuck is that it constantly hides plot points in throwaway gags. This is very efficient writing! Don’t know what I’m talking about? Let’s examine some case studies, shall we?” (Ramblings of a TV Whore)
- Chuck: Chris Fedak Talks About the Rest of Season Two – “How long ago did you decide that Chuck’s father would be the creator of the Intersect?” (What’s Alan Watching?)
- Chuck Week Day 2: Giveaway – “In the continuing celebration of CHUCK Week 2009 and because I’m feeling generous this morning, it’s my great pleasure to give away 2 copies of Season 1 of CHUCK because it’s one of the best shows currently on TV!” (My Take on TV)
- Chuck Rundown: Episode 19, “Chuck vs. the Dream Job – “I’m not sure, but having your dad get kidnapped by a rogue arm of the government in order to save you might be even worse than thinking your dad just walked out on you one night while making pancakes.” (Buzz Sugar)
- What the F#%k? What Aren’t You Watching Chuck? – “Why hasn’t NBC picked up Chuck (also critically lauded and ratings deprived) for its third season yet? Seriously? Meanwhile they have time to bully the Boston affiliate and force them to show Leno 5 times a week? And they don’t have time to renew the awesomeness of Chuck yet?” (Tapeworthy)
- Chuck: Episode 219 – “This episode was one of the more hilarious in recent memory.” (Great Minds Think Different)
If your post isn’t here please let me know and I will add it.
Check back tomorrow for more on CHUCK including other favorite moments and the ultimate CHUCK polls!

Suggestions to spread the Chuck –
add great Chuck dialog to your signature line
i checked wikiquote and there’s not a lot there, so if someone could gather a batch of good dialog for us to pull from….
In my email to my Grey’s Anatomy group (stuck in reruns for the month, such timing) I had to use
hopefully I didn’t post this before
I don’t want to be a pain
but since we have a month of reruns
I’d like to borrow a minute
I must have mention Scott Bakula is in the last 4 eps of Chuck –
they started this past Monday, but you can catch that one online is you missed.
The fans of Chuck, which include me (not just for Scott) have decided it’s time to convince NBC, which is not yet convinced, to give Chuck a third season (NBC has not threatened to cancel but they aren’t promising to pickup, and the honchod have changed and the ratings aren’t great, but the show is a lot of fun and we want them to keep it – and it’s iffy)
The effort os being spearheaded by GiveMeMyRemote.com
they aren’t sending food – they are writing reviews and asking people to share Chuck with friends.
This is my part. Unlike my House list, there is no conflict.
Chuck is an action, adventure, romantic, comedy, spy, thriller, with heart.
Anyone who needs help catching up, I’ve written a synopsis that’s shorter than one of my usual emails.
I believe all the eps are online somewhere and all the info you need can be found at, or linked from, this page

We, the fans of Chuck, appreciate your time.
Thanks
Casey: This is how this is gonna work. I’m gonna go over there, rescue Sarah, capture Dr. Zarnow, shoot anybody who gets in my way. You, you’re gonna stay in the car.
Chuck: So in this plan I basically do nothing?
Casey: Yup.
Chuck: Let’s do this!
help me do better?
Pam, who doesn’t have to convince the Bakula fans – if you cast him, they will come. (we’ve been known to fly for Scott, so TV is easy)
Captain: There comes a time, in every man’s life, when he reaches… well a crossroad. The time when he must ask himself, am I a tucker? Talking about your shirt Morgan. Wasn’t always a tucker you know, but one day, it just happened.
Morgan: How do you know it’s time?
Captain: Just feel it! Go ahead, tuck her in! And see how she feels!
Morgan: Oh, ah! I don’t know. I’m, I’m just kind of happy how my shirt hang there.
Captain: Come one! Your safe in here!
Morgan: *sigh*
Captain: Tuck her in!
Morgan: I…
Captain: Do it!
Morgan: (Tucks his shirt in) I don’t know, I kind of feel like… my junk is there for the whole world to see.
Captain: Maybe that’s the point Morgan, maybe that’s the point.
and it goes on a little bit more. Funniest scene ever for me hehe!
OK, can I just say that when Lester sings Africa it is hilarious! I just LOVED it!!!
