Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Monday, April 20, 2009
April 20, 2009 by Kath Skerry
It’s official. This is the longest I’ve ever gone without updating GMMR. It sucks! Still without internet access in our hotel. It’s actually pretty early in the morning here in L.A. and I’m at a Starbucks — I had to at least post something today…it’s Monday…prett big TV day.
Paley has been a lot of fun (not that you would know about it since I haven’t blogged a thing). I’ll be sure anectdotes and pictures when I get back to Boston.
Thanks for your patience this week. I really do wish I could be updating more but there’s only so much I can do from my iPhone.
Going to post a few things this morning and then I’m heading back to the hotel It’s going to be another really hot day here (yesterday it was 94 degrees….glad I was inside the theater all day) and I want to hang by the pool until it’s time for me to go to BSG/CAPRICA.
No Monday night TV for me. I’ll be at Paley while all the shows are on, and no internet access I won’t be able to watch any of the shows online. So sad.
Please watch lots and lots of TV tonight and think of me. Here are a few of tonight’s highlight.
Chuck | 8pm on NBC
“Chuck Versus the Colonel”
Chuck and Sarah get closer when they go AWOL to rescue Chuck’s father (Scott Bakula); Morgan becomes an outcast at Buy More after inadvertently getting Emmett (Tony Hale) promoted. [GMMR: Hey guess what? CHUCK ratings went up last week! That’s huge. But the work is NOT done yet. No resting until NBC gets off their asses and renews CHUCK. Please do what you can to spread the word today and make sure you watch CHUCK tonight!]
Greek | 8pm on ABC Family
“Big Littles and Jumbo Shrimp”
Rusty learns that Andy hooked up with Jordan; the arrival of Evan’s brother stirs up family money issues and leads to a bombshell for Frannie. [GMMR: I spent sometime on Thursday on the set of GREEK. Out tour guides were none other than GREEK creator Sean Smith, Scott Michael Foster (Cappie) and Dilshad Vadsaria (Rebecca). I’ll share lots more about our GREEK adventure once I have a more stable internet connection. CAPPIE!!!]
Gossip Girl | 8pm on The CW
“Seder Anything”
Serena returns from her trip with Gabriel and Poppy; Blair and Nate’s grandfather make a deal; Dan tries to earn money for college.

[GMMR:Yesterday I was with PUSHING DAISIES star Ellen Greene who mentioned that she returns to HEROES tonight as Sylar’s mother. Watch out!]
24 | 9pm on Fox
“Day 7: 2:00AM – 3:00AM”
Jack’s pain from the pathogen significantly increases, but he’s determined to endure it. Meanwhile, the FBI investigates some lethal developments.

Also playing…
- Dancing with the Stars 8pm on ABC | Celebrities compete with their professional dance partners.

why is Bones jumping around so much in the schedule?
Ash, Fox ordered 26 episodes of Bones this season and in order to show them all this season and still have the finale on May 14 they had to double up last week and this week.
Yeah, I came on to ask about Bones too – did I miss something? Why is it seemingly on every day? Weren’t there two new eps last week, and now it’s on Monday? What gives? (Note: I am NOT complaining about extra Bones…just trying to figure out what the heck is going on). Seeleybaby, if you’re out there, give us answers!!! 🙂
Ahhh…thanks Stephanie. So, the other ep this week airs on Thursday as usual?
So…Apparently Mitchell Hurwitz’ “Sit Down, Shut Up” premiered on Sunday and I didn’t know about it. I guess this is what happens when GMMR has no internet! haha! I’m glad it seems that you are having fun in CA though. 🙂
Hulu is obviously one of the greatest creations of this decade. Kath, I know you will be overwhelmed with the amount of catching up you will need to do, but “Sit Down, Shut Up” is definitely worth watching, even if you aren’t into animated shows, which I’m not too much. I laughed many times and there is a lot of Arrested Development humor infused throughout.
