ABC Picks Up COUGAR TOWN, HAPPY TOWN & Renews CASTLE
May 15, 2009 by Kath Skerry
Fans of CASTLE will be getting a little more Nathan Fillion next season. Tuesday during their Upfront presentations, ABC will be announcing it’s renewing cop/novelist dramady for a second season. Good move ABC.
The alphabet network will also officially pick up COUGAR TOWN, a comedy about a 40-something mother (Courtney Cox-Arquette) who is newly single and looking; as well as HAPPY TOWN “a mystery set in the hamlet of Happy Town, which had enjoyed a seven-year peace after a series of kidnappings until it is hit by another crime”.
Is “town” the new trend over at ABC? Will be hearing about LOST TOWN and DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES TOWN soon?

YAY for Castle’s renewal! That’s is awesome news, as the show became one of my favourites this last season.
