GOSSIP GIRL & ONE TREE HILL Pull a Switcharoo
June 17, 2009 by Kath Skerry
GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL are rumored to be swapping out time slots when the shows return to The CW in the Fall. According to Variety, ONE TREE HILL will take over for GOSSIP GIRL’s at 8pm, while the kids of the Upper East Side will be seen at 9pm.
I don’t know about you, but this is fantastic news for me. The Monday at 8pm schedule is overrun with great shows and as a result I sometimes am forced to miss out on some of my favorites. Pushing GOSSIP GIRL back to 9pm makes my night just a little bit better.
Does this switch help or hurt your Monday night Fall lineup?

I think it’s great news. 8pm on Mondays have always been the fullest time slot and in the last calendar year I was watching nothing at 9pm after I finally gave up on Heroes. Of course, now CBS has made BBT a 9:30 show, so it conflicts with GG. It means I’m still watching Gossip Girl a week late online, because as a DVR-less girl, I have to watch Big Bang Theory Live — unless CBS will finally put full episodes online.
This is fabulous news for me. I was wondering how I was going to watch OTH and BBT and I forget what else is on in this timeslot because I have blocked it out it’s so fraking full! I always managed to figure it out but the stress I don’t need.

I tape most things on Monday night anyway. This just gives me more of an excuse not to watch Heroes. Didn’t that get moved to 8:00? I’ll just TiVo OTH or my comedies, and I’ll be all set.
