Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, July 21, 2009
July 21, 2009 by Kath Skerry
Get those remotes ready because we’ve got a busy night a head of us tonight. There’s no complaining that there’s nothing to watch tonight. Even if some of your favorite shows aren’t on, why not give some of the series below a try…you never know.
What will YOU be watching tonight?
10 Things I Hate About You | 8pm on ABC Family | Series Premiere
Bianca needs help getting to a house party her father has forbidden her to attend; Kat needs a fake ID after Patrick invites her to a concert. [GMMR: I was NOT a fan of the premiere episode. I thought it was chessey and weak. But I caught last week’s episode and I liked it more than I thought I would. I found it quite amusing. I’m not adding this show as a season pass, but I’ll give it another shot. Maybe you should too.]
Hell’s Kitchen | 8pm on Fox
The 16 chefs are sent to the kitchen to create their signature dishes; one chef has a confrontation with Gordon Ramsay during the elimination round. [GMMR: Really? A chef has a confrotation with a chef? Shocking.]
Ruby & The Rockits | 8:30pm on ABC Family
“Pilot”
In the series opener, teenage Ruby (Alexa Vega) reconnects with her dad, David (David Cassidy), a pop star whose heyday was in the ’80s. David then seeks out his estranged brother and former bandmate, Patrick (Patrick Cassidy), who’s now a suburban dad from whom David needs helps.
Warehouse 13 | 9pm on Syfy
“Magnetism”
Pete and Myka are sent to investigate a town where the inhabitants are acting out their subconscious desires; Artie is puzzled by the building’s sudden energy surges.
Better Off Ted | 9pm on ABC
“Father, Can You Hair Me?”
Veronica’s rivalry with her father gets out of control; Lem and Phil think they have discovered the cure for baldness.
Big Brother 11 | 9pm on CBS
Strangers coexist in a house hoping to win the cash prize. On tonight’s episode we will see this week’s POV competition as well as the POV ceremony…I think. [GMMR: I’m so far behind on BIG BROTHER. Well, that’s a lie – I’m way ahead on watching BIG BROTHER, but I’m behind on writing about it. Will today be the day?]
HawthoRNe | 9pm on TNT
“Trust Me”
The hospital director agrees to take on patients who would normally go to a now-closed ER at another hospital; one of Camille’s study partners is brought in to the ER; Christina wonders if Camille is doing drugs.
Saving Grace | 10pm on TNT
“Am I Going to Lose Her?”
Grace pursues a rape and kidnapping suspect on foot—only to suddenly vanish, ostensibly as the suspect’s newest victim. Ham, Rhetta and even the angelic Earl desperately set out to find her.
Rescue Me | 10pm on FX
“Clean”
An outburst lands Tommy cleaning duty as a mysterious woman strolls through the firehouse; the Gavins confront Tommy about his alcoholism, but their plan does not unfold as expected.
Also playing…

There is just too much on TV tonight!
Have to watch Ruby and the Rockets because well, David Cassidy? He had my heart when I was 6.
Big Brother and Warehouse 13. I am crossing my fingers that the Torchwood stuff shows up on demand.
