SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Top 6: ‘Send in the Clowns’

A little distracted during last night’s results episode of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, I wasn’t able to fully appreciated the beauty of this week’s stunning opening number, choreographed by Tyce Diorio.  This might be my favorite group number all season.  Everything just worked perfectly.  The song, the concept, the dancing, the costumes, the acting. So beautiful.

Of course I can’t find a good version online, but I’ll share what I could find.

    I thought this was really pretty and sad and I loved it. I hate when The Douche does something I like. It makes e feel dirty.

    LOL @ Patty. Tyce is a total douchebag, and I’m with you. When he does something fantastic, like this … I feel weird for liking it. But it was pretty good. Considering it was a routine with clowns, and clowns are pretty creepy and weird.

    Seeing the chemistry from last year makes me realize what is really missing this year… the sex. The latin dances and even the lyrical hiphop haven’t worked because of lack of chemistry. Can you honestly say if anyone in the final 6 had to kiss like twitch and katee did in the door dance they could have pulled it off? My answer is no.

    I didn’t watch SYTYCD last year so watching the routines from then were interesting. Gotta say, though, I wasn’t really into “The Door” dance. “The Briefcase” dance was my favorite.

    I think Will and Jesssica actually did their dance the best. The others looked off because they were soooo good last year during the show. Katee really got into the character more this time, though! I wanted to see at least one Joshua and Katee routine because every dance they did was awesome (except for Benji’s hot pink mess that I hated).
