The Most Dramatic BIG BROTHER Eviction Ceremony Ever?

Why?
The coup d’etat.
I’m going to be talking spoilers and speculation after the jump so read on if you don’t mind being spoiled.
So here’s where we are. Russell and Lydia are on the block. Kevin won the POV and opted not to use it. If this were a normal week I’d be 100% confident that Russell is going home tonight. But it’s not a normal week because Jeff has been given the power of coup d’etat. For those of you not in the know, the coup d’etat gives Jeff the power to replace the two nominated houseguests and replace them with one or two of his own right before the live vote. Without any time for the houseguests to scheme, they have to walk into the room and cast their vote for eviction.
Current HOH, Chima, has stated numerous times that she will go insane on live TV if her power is usurped and Russell stays in the house. With live her verbal tirade against Braden in Week One, I have no doubt that Chima is capable of the biggest meltdown in BIG BROTHER history. Hence the thought that while eviction might be live for the houseguests, it won’t be for us watching at home on CBS. We’ll get the edited down version. I guess we’ll see soon enough tonight.
But all this is moot if Jeff decides not to use the power? Even those of us watching the live feeds and BIG BROTHER After Dark don’t know. Since he isn’t allowed to tell anyone he has this power we don’t know for sure what his plans are. But his words and actions seems to indicate that he’s going to stir up the game and use the power to evict Jesse. He’s been talking to various people asking them if “hypothetically” Jesse and Natalie were both on the block, who would they send home. People seem to be ready to see Jesse leave which would essentially shift the power in the house over to Jeff. Lydia and Russell would be in his debt for keeping them off the block (Russell way more so than Lydia). Jeff of course would be the main target of Natalie and Chima, but with Russell and Jordan and most likely Michelle on his side, they could pick them off assuming they get any kind of power next week. And let’s face it. It’s time for Jeff to win HOH, no? Or how about Michelle who has been floating along while at the same time being the punching bag for the house. Jordan winning HOH would be just fine too because it would essentially be the same as Jeff winning. Kevin and Lydia…eh. I don’t need either of them in power next week thank you very much.
Fans seem to be in support of Jeff using the coup d’etat to evict Jessie. I think it only works if he replaces both nominees with Jesse and Natalie. If that’s the case, there’s a chance Jesse could leave in a unanimous vote. How awesome would that be?
People will be pissed, but they can’t blame Jeff for making a strategic (and ballsy) move like this.
But will he use it? Jeff spent a good time alone with his thoughts last night. Looks like he was contemplating something. Let’s hope he decides to make this game a little more interesting. Bazinga!!
Ok BIG BROTHER fans..here we go! Do you think Jeff will use the power of coup d’etat. Will he put both Natalie and Jessie on the block? If so, how do you see the votes coming down? Would it be smart for CBS to not air the eviction live? Will Chima inflict physical violence on Jeff and/or Russell for keeping Russell in the game?

Kath, I have been waiting for you to talk about this! I’ve been so hungry for information I’ve been reading the boards with live feed recaps! My husband and I are so excited for tonight. I’m not allowed to watch it without him. 🙂
It is my greatest wish for Jeff to use the power on Jesse and Natalie. I think it would be the greatest strategic move for him. What does concern me is how much time Kevin has been spending with Chima and her gang. I just hope once Jesse is gone he will come to his senses. My guess is the only vote for Jesse would be from Lydia. Jesse is trying to scare them all with the “girls are going to unite” but that will never happen.
GO JEFF GO!!! I hope he has the guts to use his power. I think all of America would cheer!
I am crossing my fingers that Jeff puts both Jesse and Natalie up together. That is the only way to get one of them out and break up that side of the house. And them Chima will be out next week. All her tough talk is nothing without the jocks backing her up. I would hope that Lidia and Russell will know who saved them and at least be smart this week. But I know who we are talking about.
I am really pulling for Jeff. He might be the player I like best in all the seasons I have been watching.
I hope he uses it and doesn’t wimp out and use the “doesn’t want to make enemies” excuse. It will be great to watch Chima’s head spin and explode. Even though it would make me a huge target, I would do it for pure entertainment value.
I hope he uses it too. It’s time for him to make a move.
I REALLY hopes he uses the power. Natalie and Jessie need to be split up. I LOVE that you are so die hard about BB11…loving that in the podcasts!!!!
