GLEE Summer Tour – First Stop…Boston
August 17, 2009 by Kath Skerry
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to GLEEk out! Later today I’m heading out to meet up with the cast of GLEE on the first stop of their GLEE Summer Tour.
Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, Amber Riley, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling are all here in Boston (and yes it’s killing me not to stalk them out). They’ll be doing a Q&A and signing autographs for fans. I’m not sure what the press access will be like, but I’ll do what I can to bring you the inside scoop.
If you’re in the Boston area and plan on attending the event, drop me a line. And I hope you’ll say Hi if you see me!
Meanwhile, make sure you’re following @GMMR on Twitter as Team GMMR will be there sharing pics, video and more live from the event.
GLEE returns to Fox on Wednesday, September 2nd with an encore presentation of the already beloved pilot, but this time around you’ll see the director’s cut which features new scenes and even a new song by Matthew Morrison. New episodes of GLEE start on September 9th! I can’t wait!!
In honor of today’s GLEEful celebration, check out a behind-the-scenes look at “Gold Digger” from an upcoming episode of GLEE.
(More after the jump…)
And watch as Amber Riley (Mercedes) tears down the car wash with “Bust Your Windows”.
And if you are a true GLEEker than you might just LOVE this video made by GLEE fan Sam Tsui. Sam takes on the GLEE version of “Don’t Stop Believin” and he rips it to shreds! Ryan Murphy might need to sign this kid up.
(Thanks to Nicole for sending the vid along)
And what the hell…why not just watch the pilot again!

GLEEEE!!! The behind the scenes look was awesome. I cant wait for the show to come back. 🙂 And the video of Sam singing is CRAZY!!!
GLEEEE!!! I caught this show last week, and it’s seriously infectious! I LOVE IT, and have watched the pilot three times already (not including the multiple reruns, YouTube downloads, and iTunes downloads of the musical numbers). I’m jealous of you Americans who get to see the Gleekers live, but I am so happy you are going to share your experience with us, Kath.
Thanks for the posts above … I’ve seen them all, except the “Gold Digger” behind the scenes. Sam Tsui is amazing! I couldn’t believe that vid when I saw it.
Ah, Glee. It just makes me feel warm, and happy, and all the things that I’ve been missing since the cancelation of Pushing Daisies.

Like Kimber, I’m trapped in Canada with no Glee tour stops and I’m so glad Kath is going so she can share the experience with us! I stumbled upon that Sam Tsui video completely by accident (it was in the “recommended for you” section on my YouTube page – I guess I’d been watching quite a few Glee vids) and was so amazed that he was singing all of the parts. So talented!
I haven’t anticipated a new show this much in a long time – I can’t wait for the season to start!
The tour stops here on Friday! I’m so pumped. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve watched the pilot. Looking forward to your review of today and maybe some tourstop tips for us future Gleekers.
I’m following you on Twitter (but don’t have an account, so I can’t comment there) … the cast is GORGEOUS! And I’m glad to hear they are all wonderful people. Love Lea’s little summer dress … she’s adorable!
