Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Saturday, August 22, 2009

Welcome to my guilty pleasure Saturday. I can’t say there’s too much in the way of TV series on tonight, but there are a certainly a few movies for you to check out, that just so happen to star a few of my favorite people.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire | 8pm on ABC Family
Signs of Voldemort’s return emerge as Harry’s friends help him prepare for a tournament with Europe’s best student wizards. Based on a book by J.K. Rowling. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Robert Pattinson [GMMR: I cry when R-Patz dies. Thank goodness he’s immortal in real life. Ha!]

My Super Ex-Girlfriend | 8pm on FX
A young man discovers that the manipulative woman he is dating is a superheroine, and after he breaks up with her, she uses her powers to turn his life into a nightmare. Uma Thurman, Luke Wilson, Anna Faris, Rainn Wilson, Eddie Izzard [GMMR: I know some people hated this movie, but I think it’s kitschy…and it has Rainn Wilson.]

License to Wed | 9:30pm on HBO-F
A newly engaged couple find out if they are truly compatible when a clergyman puts them through a rigorous marriage-prep class. Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, John Krasinski, Eric Christian Olsen, Christine Taylor [GMMR: I don’t think this one needs any explanation.]

The Wedding Planner | 9pm on HBO-Sig
A lonely organizer falls for an engaged pediatrician while coordinating his wedding and reception. Jennifer Lopez, Matthew McConaughey, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Justin Chambers, Judy Greer [GMMR: One of those movies that I just can’t turn off when flipping through the channels.  GREY’S Justin Chambers looks so young in this flick. And it’s directed by The Shankman, and you all know how I feel about The Shankman.]

Those following me on Twitter know that today is Project Supernatural Saturday. Dedicating my day to making some serious progress.  Season 5 is right around the corner…time is running out.
