A few fan favorites are included in this list of otherwise bleh Friday night shows. (Geesh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the HOH bed this morning.)

UPDATE: Looking to find out who won SYTYCD? Was it Jakob, Ellenore, Russell, Kathryn, Ryan or Ashleigh? Click here to find out: Who won SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE?
It’s here. The season finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! Are you ready? I’m not sure I am. What am I going to do next Wednesday and Thursday? Such a void to fill.
Ducky, Heather and I are ready to watch. Heather even just pranced around my house in her SYTYCD audition outfit. I wish I had a picture to share but she wouldn’t let me. Just know it was fabulous.
I’m going to do my best to live blog tonight’s season finale. It’s not going to be easy since I’m watching with others, but I’ll try.
I hope you’ll be watching with me. The comments are open.
- 8:01pm: Cat Deeley welcomes us to the finale. She looks stunning!
- 8:02pm: The Top 20 take the stage for an encore presentation of “Brand New Day”. Jason and his chest are back! Dan has already mistaken Jonathan for Jason. Will he ever learn?! Nice seeing some of our favorites. What up Tony…Paris…how soon we forget. Way to start off the show people!
- 8:04pm: Jeanine and Brandon get the biggest applause of the evening.
- Tonight’s judging panels includes Lil C, Mia, Tyce, Debbie, The Shankman, Mary, and creepy Uncle Nigel. How hot does Travis look in his suit?
- A montage of some of the auditions through Vegas week are making me emotional. Don’t make fun. I’ll hurt you.
- Ah, that cast of GLEE! I’m such a GLEEker!
- 8:18pm: Who doesn’t love a good montage? Even if it was a montage of last night.
- As happens with every finale, the judges pick their favorite routines of the season. Shankman was up first with Jeanine & Philip’s Week 1 Hip Hop routine. Jeanine was so much stronger this time around. Still didn’t love it.
- Nigel chose the fabulous Argentine Tango by Jeanette and Brandon. Still smoking hot!!
- Debbie Allen loved the Waltz by Louis Van Amstel Light and performed by Auska and Vitolio. Snooze.
- Mary picks one of my favorite dances of the season – Travis Wall’s contemporary routine by Jeanine and Jason! YES! They made out again and Jeanine wanted more. I don’t blame ya, sista!
- Mia “I’m too fierce to live” Michaels has picked Max & Kayla’s smokin’ hot Samba as her top choice.
- I’m ok with blatant product placement when the product is the movie FAME starring SYTYCD alum, Kherrington Payne!
- I forgot what HOT BUSINESS the Dmitry/NappyTabs number was!!
GREEK Rush Week: Day 4 – Notable Quotables

Filed under #1 featured, Greek, Greek Rush Week, TV News
Like a typical college student, yesterday I skipped class. But today’s GREEK Rush Week lesson is all about literature. Famous quotes that have affected history and changed the course of man kind.
Study up on the quotes below because you never know when you’ll be called on in class.
Lesson plan aside, GREEK has some of the funniest and sharpest dialogue on TV today. Just re-reading some of these quotes from the show I was in tears. Hilarious! Cappie of course is the king of the quips, so he tends to get the best lines, but the others are definitely on their game too.
Here’s a few Cappie highlights and then a plethora of GREEK quotes that hopefully give you a sense of the fun that you’ll have by watching!!
As a reward for reading through all the quotes, you’ll be able to enter today’s all new GREEK Prize Pack. It’s a new day. We’ll pick a new winner from the comments we receive. Will it be you?
Cappie: Can we all be mature and just say what we’re really feeling? How the hell could they cancel Gilmore Girls!
Cappie: You know fun. F…U…
Evan: N?
Cappie: Nope.. that’s it.
Ashleigh: “You used to be this focused, driven person. When did you become this girl? Someone who sits around pining and making lists, and second guessing your choices? Paging Dr. Grey.”
Casey: Ash.
Ashleigh: “No, wait. You are more like Joey Potte
Casey: “Whoa, ok I get the point.”
Ashleigh: “No, you’re worse. You’re the F word.”
Casey: “Dont’ say it.”
Ashleigh: “Felicity.”
Casey: “You bitch!”
Rusty: “Nope. Still hard Evan. My feelings that is. My feelings are still hard.”
(Talking about the crank generator)
Heath: So do you know how to work this thingy? I was kinda wondering when the cell service will be back.
(Rusty cranks it and it comes on)
Heath: Cool! It’s like magic!
Rusty: Actually it’s a simple crank generator that turns friction into electricity.
Heath: Or magic!
Evan: “I didn’t think the KT’s believed in exercise.”
Cappie: “Well, we just want to keep our heart rates up for when your mom is in town.”
Cappie: Classes don’t start for a week That’s an entire week of eating, sleeping, drinking beer, watching the entire series of “Full House on DVD.”
Casey: That’s all you did all summer?
Cappie: Of course not, I also watched Jon & Kate Plus 8. It’s amazing how they make it all work.

WAREHOUSE 13: Elements
August 5, 2009 by Sarah Curtis
Filed under #1 featured, Posts by Sarah (Seels), TV News, Warehouse 13
Remember two weeks ago when I said that one thing I liked about the show was that there weren’t any bad guys? Well, we had one tonight, didn’t we?!
But, BingoMania, I thought it worked. In fact, I thought the whole episode worked. It was def my fave of the season. I want a hammock in the warehouse. All the cool stuff happens there (and, as my friend Lauren said, the cookies in the warehouse always look fantastic).
The show and writers have embraced quirkiness, and I for one couldn’t be more pleased. Why the heck not, right? It plays to the strengths of the actors and genre. It’s summer. I want to laugh and be intrigued, and this show does both for me.
Our artifact/case for the week involved a Native American robe that, when worn, allowed the wearer to pass through walls. In this case, to steal a series of art/artifacts in order to gain ultimate power over rock, water, fire and wind. Freaky!
And this episode picked back up with more character interaction, just like I wished for last week. Artie + Claudia, Pete + Myka, Artie + Myka, etc, etc. And I didn’t even mind Leena hanging out. My heart was warmed when Myka said “Hey, partner” to Pete in the hospital room, and their banter about ‘dating’ and ‘smiling’ made me happy. The episode ran on the engine of character growth, not just funky gadgets, and for it to succeed in the long run, this is how the writers need to operate.

These vampire/human unions are all the rage these days. TRUE BLOOD co-stars Stephen Moyer, who plays the dark and debonair vampire Bill Condon, and Anna Paquin, his human love interest Sookie Stackhouse, have just become engaged. Their reps have confirmed the good news but the twosome have yet to make a statement.
Congrats Sookie & Bill….and Stephen & Anna.

BREAKING…Paula Abdul Not Returning AMERICAN IDOL
August 4, 2009 by Kath Skerry
This just in courtesy of Miss Paula Abdul herself.
It seems contract negotiations aimed at bringing Paula Abdul back as an IDOL judge have gone South. According to the latest Twitter updates from Paula herself, she will NOT be returning to IDOL.
From Twitter.com/PaulaAbdul:
With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all..
I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon.
What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me
It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month
I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all
Do you think she’s really gone or is she using Twitter as a negotiation tactic?
If she is gone, will you miss Paula? Kara, Randy and Simon have all signed on, so are we back to just three judges? Will people be resentful that Kara is back over Paula?
Weigh in below.
GREEK Rush Week: Day 2 – Getting to Know GREEK Row
August 4, 2009 by Kath Skerry
Filed under #1 featured, Greek, Greek Rush Week, TV News
UPDATE: I’m going to keep the Day 2 GREEK Prize Pack open another full day! You know have until 11:59pm EST on August 5th to enter.
——————————–
It’s Day 2 of GREEK Rush Week, and if you want a shot to be part of the Campus Rhodes Greek system you’re going to need to know who’s who on GREEK Row. Who are the big players that control the best houses on campus?
As today’s Rush Week lesson, here’s a little guide to the people and places that you need to know to get ahead.
Make sure you read until the end of our guide as we’ve got another GREEK Rush Week Prize Pack to giveaway. GMMR reader Debbie won yesterday’s giveaway. Will you be today’s winner? More at the end of this post.
The Houses…
- Zeta Beta Zeta (aka ZBZ, Zeta Beta)
Considered the best sorority house on campus, ZBZ is home to many of our favorite sisters including Casey Cartwright, Ashleigh Howard and Rebecca Logan. There is a long legacy of tradition within this sisterhood, and let’s just say their alums always have an ear in the house. The ZBZs are known for being fiercely loyal…except when they’re not.
- Omega Chi Delta (aka Omega Chi, O Chi)
As far as frats go, many consider Omega Chi to be at the top of the heap. Academics, athletics, and networking are high on the Omega Chi priority list. As is socializing with the ZBZ sisters. Evan Chambers and Calvin Owens are among Omega Chi’s many upstanding brothers.
- Kappa Tau Gamma (aka Kappa Tau, KT)
If you’re looking for a good time, look no further than the KT house. Just watch “Animal House” and you might have a sense as to what being a Kappa Tau is all about. Led my the industrious Cappie, the KT traditions center less around values and more around beer…and girls…and sleep. Rusty is just one of the many KT brother worth getting to know. But for me, I say no Kappa Tau visit is complete without catching up with Beaver and of course, Jeremy!
- Iota Kappa Iota (aka I Kap, IKI, Icky)
If you’re just getting aquainted with the GREEK way of life, I wouldn’t worry too much about the IKI’s right now. But give it a little time and you’ll know what they are all about.
Who You Need to Know on GREEK Row…
Casey Cartwright
The consummate sorority operator and ultimate “it” girl, Casey has it all — looks, brains and she’s a leader in the best sorority on campus, ZBZ. But there’s more to life than just picking out the perfect outfit. There’s Evan to think about. And Cappie. And of course there’s her little brother, Rusty. She’s the golden girl with the golden touch. But what happens to this Greek goddess when her perfect world implodes?
Ashleigh Howard
Loyal and adoring, Ashleigh is Casey’s best friend and her biggest fan. Main strengths? A sunny personality and ability to see the positives in any situation. Her Achilles heel? Taste in men. Is he mean? Unavailable? Gay? That’s the guy she’ll go for. And if you know what’s good for you, you won’t come between Ashleigh and a sale. She’s not all that great with her credit cards. It’s fun to watch her struggle, anyway.
Rebecca Logan
As a Senator’s daughter, it was easy for Rebecca to get into ZBZ, but things have been bumpy every since. She made a powerful enemy when she went head-to-head with Casey. Rebecca seems to enjoy watching Casey struggle – not very nice for someone is suppose to be a sister. Known for getting what she wants, Beccs is for the first time learning what it means to have friends. Will the ZBZs help mend her evil ways? Is her family weighing her down or is she genetically predisposed to being a diva?
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Tour Panic

Ok, stop with the joking around, Fox. Isn’t it about time you add a second date to the Boston leg of the SYTYCD tour? Really…we’re waiting. My five friends and I weren’t able to get tickets. This is a problem. See, I’m a bit obsessed with this show and the idea of not seeing the tour is cah-razy. So yeah, please add a second tour date. Pretty please? Pretty please with sugar on top?
Thanks
Kath
(and Dan and Jess and Whitney and Heather and Col…)
P.S. When you add this second tour date, can you please reserve two seats for Travis Wall and Ivan Koumaev. I’d like to sit with them during the show. Asking too much?
Obviously I’m just whining. But give me a shout out if you got tickets! You lucky bastards. In which city will you be seeing the SYTYCDancers.
