18 Kids and Counting: The Duggars are Adding Another One!
September 1, 2009 by Kath Skerry
And baby makes 19…
The entire Duggar family gathered this morning to make the announcement that they are adding another baby into their already huge family. This will be baby number 19 for Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar.
WOW!
The eldest son, Josh and his wife Anna, are due with their first child – a little girl – next month. So baby #19 will actually be older than his or her aunt. Not unheard of but still bizarre.
Congratulations?

This story just repulses me. I cannot comprehend people who must breed in this way.
Ditto Patty. Ditto, ditto, ditto
I figured it was about time for the Duggars to announce another baby. I am strangely fascinated by any and every TLC show that features ginormous families. While their lifestyle is definitely not for me, I don’t think it’s in any way repulsive. The Duggars clearly love and take care of their children well. While I do think about the impact that having so many children has on the environment, I’d rather a child be born to a family like the Duggars than to a crack addict, for example.
Baby #19 will be the aunt or uncle, so actually it will be the niece that is older than the aunt/uncle. This happened in my ex-husband’s family. 9 months after we got married, his mother had a baby girl at age 43 (her youngest of 12). Her oldest child’s wife had just had her first (a boy) a month before our wedding, so the nephew is about 10 months older than his aunt.
Seriously though, didn’t this woman just have a baby last December? My twins will be 11 months on Friday and I have no desire to be pregnant again so quickly. Either they keep having kids to perpetuate the show or they just really like to s***w.
How wonderful to see a husband and wife express their love for each other by welcoming children into their lives. We should all be so lucky to be part of a loving family.
EWWWW
I think they should have 22 kids if God wants them too then stop. No more after that.
Bizzare! I have 8 sibilings (3 brothers and 5 sisters) and I thought that was alot, that many kids in one family is ridiculous!
