Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, September 2, 2009

Now this is what I call a fun night of TV!  Here’s to hoping the day flies by tonight so we can get this TV thing going. We’ve got SYTYCD, another look at the pilot of GLEE, the cast of HIMYM bantering their way through the CBS fall lineup and Jason Bateman on the late night couch.  That’s what I call a good night of TV! And that’s not even the half of it!

So You Think You Can Dance | 8pm on Fox
“The Fifteen Best Performances Ever”
Fan-favorite dance routines from previous seasons. [GMMR: Are you kidding me? This is going to be one amazing night of dance. I’m going to be posting something soon asking which dances YOU think should be performed tonight…stay tuned.]

Wipeout | 8pm on ABC
Contestants face the brush rush, the aqua launch and the buoy run as they compete in an extreme obstacle course to win the $50,000 grand prize. [GMMR: Very excited for a new episode on “Wipeout” tonight. Nothing like some big balls to turn your frown upside down.]

CBS Fall Preview | 8:30pm on CBS
Get a sneak peeks of the five new additions to CBS’s primetime schedule this fall: the drama series NCIS: LOS ANGELES, THE GOOD WIFE, THREE RIVERS and MEDIUM and the comedy series ACCIDENTALLY ON PURPOSE. The special is being hosted by the cast of HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER: Josh Radnor, Jason Segel, Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders

Glee | 9pm on Fox
“Pilot”
In this encore presentation of the pilot episode which aired last fall we’ll once again see Will Schuester, an optimistic teacher, try to reinvent the high school’s glee club. Tonight’s episode includes previously unseen footage including an additional musical number.

Ghost Hunters | 9pm on SyFy
“Civil War Spirits”
TAPS is called in to investigate a Revolutionary War battlefield in Pennsylvania; the team travels to Virginia to investigate the former home of Robert E. Lee.

Top Chef: Las Vegas | 10pm on Bravo
“Thunderbirds”
The elimination challenge calls for the contestants to create a meal for the Air Force’s elite demonstration team, the Thunderbirds.

Leverage | 9pm on TNT
“The Ice Man Job”
The crew tries to deliver comeuppance to a corrupt diamond merchant, but a misplay involving Hardison results in the team’s efforts to bust through Boston’s most impregnable vault. [GMMR: Congrats to LEVERAGE on its season 3 pickup.]

Dark Blue | 10pm on TNT
“Venice Kings”
The covert crew penetrates a turf war between two feuding gangs, one of which is a new and highly dangerous pack that’s trying to seize the heroin market. In other developments, Ty’s cash-strapped sister is in need of $7000, which Ty and Melissa can’t provide.
