CHUCK Season 3 – An Update from Our Time on Set
September 22, 2009 by Kath Skerry
Last Wednesday, Dan and I spent the day over on the set of CHUCK. As always, the cast, crew and creative team behind CHUCK welcomed us kindly. I wanted to thank them very much for their generosity in having two “press” people hang out all day while they were working. And a special thanks to the stone cold fox, Jamie French, who took very good care of us that day…and always.
So are you ready for some super secret CHUCK scoop…well, let me tell you every detail of the scenes they were filming while they were there. Or, I could keep my mouth shut and escape the wrath of Fedak and Schwartz. Yeah, better plan.
Dan and I were sworn to secrecy about what we saw (as well as a few other tidbits the cast offered up throughout the day), but we can tell you that Superman was in the house! Yes, we were there during Brandon Routh’s first day of filming. While we can’t tell you who the ex-man of steel will be playing, it’s already out there that he’s on CHUCK for a 6 episode stint. As it was his first day of shooting we sadly didn’t get any interview time with him but he did introduce himself and was sweet as can be. I’m really excited to see what he brings to the show and how his role impacts some of our favorite characters. We watched him film a couple scenes and it looks like he’s going to be a busy boy this season.
We did get a short amount of time with Zachary, Yvonne and Adam last week. Some of the info can and will be shared soon. Some of it might have to be held until a we get a little closer to the episode airing. It’s a long wait until CHUCK returns in March 2010, but I can sleep better knowing it is coming back. And the cast couldn’t say enough about how instrumental YOU the fans were in bringing the show back. Yay YOU!
I know you want all the scoop now, but you’re going to have to hold tight. Dan and I will be releasing our interviews with the cast slowly over time via The TV Talk Podcast.
In the meantime check out some of our pics with the cast and from our day on the set of NBC’s CHUCK.

Thanks for sharing this with us, Kath! I already commented over at Ducky’s page regarding the photos – but I’ll say again that I LOVE the one of you two and Adam Baldwin! He totally looks like he’s got your back in that photo, and whoa those pipes!!!
I’m going to try and stay as spoiler-free as possible for Chuck, but you know I love your podcasts, so I’m sure I’ll hear little tidbits along the way!
Can’t wait for CHUCK!! But is it just me? The other 2 pages of pictures aren’t opening, just re-displaying the first 5 pics? :S
Chuuuuuuck! I miss it so much! Did you make sure to tell AB that I love him?
Oh, I also forgot to give some Brandon Routh love. Yeah, yeah, he was a great Superman and all that, but I actually really enjoyed his episode of Fear Itself. I think I was the only person who watched that show, but I effing loved it.
Hmm, I notice that you have pictures of the Nerd Herd cars, so that is probably a minor spoiler that answers the question of whether or not the Buy More will still play a part in season 3.
Sarah will fall for this guy.S3 will be the worst season of chuck.
I am so, so sad that we have to waith until March. I was practically in withdrawal last night. I filled out an NBC survey today, and again begged for more Chuck. I am not giving up the email campaign!
Lucky girl (and guy!) But at least we get lots of awesome pics to tide us over until March. And Brandon Routh? Hotness! As if that show needed any more yummy.. not that I will ever complain about too much yummy! 🙂
^^I agree with the poster above me! Hi, new Chuck fan here; just watched season 1 for the first time ever, as well as the last 3 eps of season 2 and WOW what an awesome show!! And Brandon being a guest star is like the icing on this very yummy cake!
Chuck and sarah have to stay together this season!!!!!! I have been watching the show all along for almost only that reason. I just want to see like 3 or 4 episodes where they are together and steady. and if the super man S%@T head ruins it ill DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Short term pain for long term gain folks. Trust the March return date for Chuck is the best thing that can happen to the show. What it needs more than anything is an uninterrupted run. With that and the Olympics to use as a launching pad for promotion, the show will have an awesome chance to build up some solid momentum.
Look forward to future reveals Kath! Thanks for doing a great job here and with
Ducky on your TV TALK podcasts!
