Here’s Hoping The Beelzebubs Rock Tonight’s THE SING OFF Finale
December 21, 2009 by Kath Skerry
A cappella music might not be everyone’s bag, but I happen to love it. In tonight’s finale of THE SING OFF (8pm on NBC), the final three a capella groups compete for the title of Sing-Off champion as well as $100,000 and a Sony Music record contract. There might be three groups left, but from the start there’s only been one group for me – The Bubs!
If you haven’t seen the show, check out The Beelzebubs, representing Tufts University in Medford, MA. These fun-loving and insanely talented guys have a shot at winning it all tonight. I for one hope the hometown guys pull it off.
Meet The Beelzebubs
“Magical Mystery Tour” by The Beatles
“Right Round” by FlorRida
“Come Sail Away” by Styx
A Boston Favorite “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond (oh and don’t think I won’t be keeping my eye out for the lead singer next time I drive my Tufts)
Medley from The Who
Best of luck to The Bubs tonight!!

I really enjoyed this show. I’m a HUGE fan of a cappella (did you catch the SNC concert on PBS???), and this show brought the style front and center. It’s a shame they chose to air it now. This would have been a perfect summer show.
Here’s hoping they look to bring this back, perhaps again in the summer, and expand the format. Maybe do four regional shows, with the top 2 groups advancing to the final rounds, and spread it out over 6 weeks or so. I just wanted so much more.
