Ok holidays, bring it! I don’t mean to wish away the holidays, but as a TV fan I’m kind of over the reruns and Christmas specials (clearly I have no heart). I don’t want to wait a few more weeks for some of my favorite shows to come back. I’m ready now!
Most of our Monday night faves are in repeat mode, but NBC does have the finale of THE SING OFF. I know the show isn’t for everyone, and I’m not sure if I would be watching if it weren’t for my hometown boys, The Beelzebubs. Here’s to hoping The Bubs take home the big prize today. Do Medford proud, sons!
And I know we don’t normally hype episode repeats, but if you missed last year’s holiday episode of THE BIG BANG THEORY then be sure to check it out at 9:30pm tonight on CBS. It’s one of my favorite episodes ever and it definitely includes my favorite Sheldon moment of all time (and that’s saying a lot).
Peruse the channels if you want, but here are just a few highlights from tonight’s TV lineup.
The Sing-Off | 8pm on NBC
“Finale”
The final three groups find out their fates as the winning group is revealed; Natasha Bedingfield, Bobby McFerrin, Boyz II Men and Smokey Robinson each perform a capella.
Family Guy Marathon | 8-11pm on TBS
A fan of FAMILY GUY? Tonight TBS is airing 6 episodes back-to-back starting at 8pm. Episodes include “Hell Comes to Quahog”, “Death is a Bitch”, “A Very Special Family Guy Freakin’ Christmas” and more.
The Closer | 9pm on TNT
“Dead Man’s Hand”
Brenda investigates the case of a female police officer who denied being a victim of spousal abuse prior to her husband being shot by a cop answering a domestic disturbance call. Mary McDonnell guest stars.
Men of a Certain Age | 10pm on TNT
“Mind’s Eye”
Joe tries to teach his son golf; Owen tries to get his sales figures up; Terry gets into his character a little too much.

One Staple at a Time…

Hey guys. It’s Kath. Sorry I’ve been a little more MIA than usual. Getting back to my old self one day at a time. It’s not particularly comfortable to be on the computer these days, but I’m trying.
Perhaps it’s a bit too TMI, but this morning I’m finally getting the staples out of my back! I’m more nervous for this than I was my initial back surgery, but I’m sure everything will be fine. That being said, it might be a day or so until I’m back to blogging. Not only am I’m getting my back fixed up but tomorrow I’m also moving home after living with my parents for the better half of three months. Yes, I’ll be an independent woman once again (quick, someone cue Beyonce.)
I’ll try to get back to blogging as soon as I can. In the meantime check out the latest TV Talk Podcast recorded on Wednesday night! Last night was the first time Dan and I have seen each other in over a month and we had lots of TV to talk about. We’re talking about GLEE, MODERN FAMILY, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, THE OFFICE, CHUCK, 30 ROCK, TRUE BLOOD and so much more! I hope you give it a listen.
Be back as soon as I can.
XOXO

Another month, another sickness induced hiatus and not one but two surgeries later, GMMR and Ducky are back with a new TV Talk Podcast!
Your favorite carcasters are back to talk about all of the TV we’ve soaked in from our hospital and sick beds.
We kick off the podcast with the Season 6 finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Then we move on to the fall finales of GLEE and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES.
We sink our teeth into some TRUE BLOOD casting news then tackle the return of faves CHUCK and LOST.
MODERN FAMILY and THE OFFICE were Christmas fantastic, as were 30 ROCK and the increasingly brilliant PARKS & RECREATION.
HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE BIG BANG THEORY are always worth a good conversation as is the debate over THE GOOD WIFE.
What else is on tap? How about MERCY, IT’S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA, THE SING-OFF, SAY YES TO THE DRESS, HAPPILY EVER FASTER and LAUNCH MY LINE.
Did the right people win TOP CHEF and PROJECT RUNWAY? Who’s real pretty to look at and what’s our new TV Talk Podcast tagline?
Thanks for being so patient with our crazy illnesses and busy schedules. We wish we could podcast more regularly than we do and we think it’s amazing so many folks care about what we have to say regarding all things TV! You guys are the best.
Sit back, listen and leave us lots of comments about our newest chat-fest!
