Tonight’s TV Spotlight…Tuesday, January 5, 2010

Did you survive the first day back to the real world after the holiday break? I’m happy to report that my back is still in tact. A little worse for wear, but I made it.

Tuesday night TV is back and in a BIG way. And I’m not just talking about the season premiere of The Biggest Loser (didn’t that show just end about an hour ago?). Check out the list of TV highlights below and find out which of your favorite shows are back with brand new episodes tonight.

And Chuck fans, make sure you tune into (or at least DVR) Letterman tonight as Zac Levi will be guesting, as will Parks & Recs star Chris Pratt on Conan.

Scrubs | 8pm & 9pm on ABC
@8pm: “Our White Coats”
The med students examine their motivations for becoming doctors before receiving their white coats. Elsewhere, Elliot helps Denise with her love life.
@9pm: “Our Couples” – Lucy finds couplings throughout the hospital.

Better Off Ted | 8:30pm & 9:30pm on ABC
“Beating a Dead Work Horse”
Veronica sees an opportunity to make the staff work harder after an employee drops dead during the company’s push to complete a machine that helps people get to sleep. Sheila: Merrin Dungey.
@9:30pm: “Change We Can’t Believe In” – Ted struggles with an employee who idolizes him; Lem and Phil fear working alone with Veronica.

The Biggest Loser | 8pm on NBC | Season Premiere
Twenty-two contestants, comprised of 11 pairs of family members, equate to the heaviest cast in show history; before heading to the ranch, the contestants must weigh-in in front of family, friends and neighbors; a strenuous bike challenge.

NCIS | 8pm on CBS
“Ignition”
The team investigates the mysterious murder of a Navy pilot, and the case has them battling an attorney (Rena Sofer) who has a grudge against Gibbs.

NCIS: Low Angeles | 9pm on CBS
“Breach”
The case of a murdered petty officer leads Sam to a teen he knows and suspects may have a connection with terrorists. Hetty is concerned about the effect that the workload has on the team.

The Good Wife | 10pm on CBS
“Infamy”
Alicia discovers more information about Peter’s fall from grace; Will gets cozy with his opposing counsel during a wrongful death suit against a TV commentator.

The Forgotten | 10pm on CBS
“Double Doe”
The team members take on their first case with multiple victims as they try to solve the murder of two people who were shot and buried in snow.
