SMALLVILLE: Persuasion - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

SMALLVILLE: Persuasion

February 20, 2010 by

Hey Smallville fans! Did you see Lois morph into June Cleaver? Or what about Clark’s new bodyguard Chloe out to protect him against everything and everyone, including Lois. And while this domestic nightmare plays out Clark is up against Zod with only 2 day to go before a possible apocalypse blows through town.

Now back to Lois, who seems to be scaring Clark more than a bunch of super powered Kandorians! Lois has decided to quite her job and makes pot roast! All she wants is for Clark to make an honest woman out of her. So she moves in and awaits there pending engagement. Something that Chloe is dead set against. Chloe, under the command of Clark, is angry and bitter, and tells Lois to leave Clark. After having a break down with Clark, Lois calms down with the promise that they’ll be together forever and turns into Bridezilla! After she calls her whole family and Mrs. Kent, Lois spends most her time dancing around in her soon to be Mother in-law’s wedding gown!

Zod and Tess are still going at it. Tess is routing for Clark and his attempts save Kandorians a new life with new identities. Tess is only on board to see that the Kandorians help earth live on, and what she doesn’t realize is that she’ll kill CK’s powers when everything goes into full effect. Zod’s storyline really threw me off here. There were so many twists and turns I’m still not sure he fell under the influence of Clark’s persuasion giving us the whole truth. I also find it a little hard to take Callum Blue serious in this role after watching him on “Dead Like Me.”.

Watchtower even becomes a mess for a short time. I like the way that Clark decides to go with his new found powers of persuasion. So he focuses on Zod and the truth behind Jor- El’s death. Zod tells Clark that Tess killed Jor-El. He also tells Clark that his father stayed loyal and never gave him up.

I really liked Tess and Chloe going toe to toe. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the two duke it out. Tess wants Chloe to work with her not against her. So of course the fighting begins and let’s just say that Tess can throw a mean punch. In the end after Clark goes after Tess Chloe decides that the right thing to do is to save her.

By the episode’s end, Lois and Clark take another step back but she does however get the reassurance she needed to keep going. Clark holds back and doesn’t divulge some of the crazy things she did under the spell and they decide to take it slow again. Chloe explains that saving Clark sometimes means saving him from himself. And previous to all of this Alia dies and Chloe’s future death sentence is erased for now. The best part however always seems to come at the end of Smallville. Zod’s towers finally come crashing down leaving us back to square one.

So what do you think Smallville fans? Was Persuasion one of your favorite episodes? Until next week!
