SMALLVILLE: Upgrade - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

SMALLVILLE: Upgrade

What is going on? Chloe has a kryptonite arsenal and has teamed up with Tess? Clark and Watchtower at each others throats! Zod is the closest thing Clark has to a brother? Some long overdue issues have finally bubbled up to the service with Clark at its core. Clark has some huge decisions to make between Chloe, Oliver and his Kryptonian family on Earth.

And once again while all this is playing out were reminded that although Clark walks in an dispensable shell on the inside all he’s looking for is the answers to where he fits in and who he family really is. Maybe a little side plot to prime us for the return of mama Kent?!

What really appeared to be most evident this entire episode was just how dark side our favorite Smallville residents where. Even Clark dipped a little low in this ep thanks to the good old Red Kryptonite! Although it was short lived CK normally seems torn between how just how far he’ll go to ensure justice. I’m sure it didn’t help after finding out that Chloe stabbed him in the back.

Although Oliver wasn’t around, and we were instead graced with the presence of Metallo played by Brian Austin Green, Chloe’s long term plans of hiding kryptonite in different locations to power down Co’s family (so to speak) was thought to be disastrous in the beginning. After witnessing Zod work different angles, Chloe’s kryptonite plan isn’t looking like such a bad one.

When it came to Lois and Clark, we didn’t get to see too much of them together. We did however witness Chloe smothering Lois into unconsciousness for her own good. Either way I didn’t expect to see Tess and Chloe’s somewhat civil exchange of words for the short time. That was a surprising scene as well as the fact that the writers have divvied up evil between two main characters (Zod and Tess)has helped immensely, especially when they’re secretly fighting with other. Tess is really playing both sides of the field between Zod and CK.

Lois and Metallo also had a heart to heart in this episode. John Corben really has a thing for Lois. I don’t really like the two of them together though! Sexual tension or not, I just can’t get into the two of them at all. And don’t get me wrong I like Green, he does a good job. I would much rather see the Green Arrow and Lois

All in all , this episode of Smallville wasn’t my favorite but it did help move the storyline along while opening a few new doors for the writers to enhance the drama. Especially since the web is abuzz with Smallville season 9 finale news! From the sounds of it we can expect to see some serious fireworks as the ninth year comes to a close.

As always, don’t be shy and let us know Smallville fans! What are your thoughts on this episode? Are you sick of CK and the Red K storyline? Will the finale end as good as it sounds?
