SMALLVILLE: Sacrifice - Give Me My Remote : Give Me My Remote

SMALLVILLE: Sacrifice

What’s up GMMR! I knew when I checked out the episode guide and read the speculation for this Smallville episode it was going to be good! Sacrifice has some thinking only one thing – someone is going to die! I was also hoping that Mama Kent was going to show up! I was wrong, I guess I’ll have to wait until next week.

Chloe and Tess locked up together in Watchtower? And the whole Clark and Zod back and fourth storyline with Oliver stepping in. Could it get any better! This episode was actually written by Justin Hartley, aka The Green Arrow, who finally returns tonight, and Walter Wong. So without any more oohs.. and aahs.. from me lets dig in to Smallville’s Sacrifice. One last thing, did you see Chloe enter Watchtower? The geek in me was gushing over all the electronics and security she has in place! She really has turned in to a superhero.

When it comes to Chloe and Tess, these two really went full circle tonight. Just like Clark and Lex back in the day, these mortal enemies are on one never ending roll coaster ride. Trapped in watchtower together, I really thought Tess wasn’t coming out alive. Chloe plunged the needle into her heart and brought her back? I thought Clark’s side kick had gone dark side but in the end even with her lack of faith in humanity she still proved that even villains like Tess hold some worth.

It was strange to see them talk about Oliver and the whole mess that Tess got herself into. By the end of the show I’m pretty sure these two have established a new kind of relationship. An unspoken agreement that Tess doesn’t reveal all of Chloe’s superhero friends in return for her life.

On to Clark and Zod. Where do I start? Now that Clark knows that Zod was the man talking to Lois, CK is after the person he just recently called his brother. After getting Oliver involved, Clark realizes that the Kandorians aren’t in the Green Arrows words “the only family he has.” While all this is going on Clark decides to reveal the truth about Zod and his powers to his people. What a twist to find out Zod was having a baby?

In the end everyone managed to make it out alive except for Checkmate and Zod’s once true Kandorian girlfriend with his baby. That part made me sick. I’m fine with that storyline ending. I really wasn’t into watching Pam Grier make people squirm anymore. I think we had plenty of evil with Tess and Zod. I’ve also quite honestly have had my fill of Zod as well and cant wait to see what they’ll do with him next. I definitely wouldn’t miss him if the Kandorians and Clark got rid of him.

And I cant forget to mention Lois. She was of course MIA again. Lois and Clark will be back together next week when Smallville returns with Hostage. In the meantime don’t be shy and drop us a line. What are your predictions for season’s end?
