LONE STAR from Fox – First Look
May 17, 2010 by Kath Skerry
LONESTAR, a sophisticated and provocative series set against the sprawling backdrop of big Texas oil, is the new drama premiering this fall. From Chris Keyser and Amy Lippman, the creators of “Party of Five,” director by Marc Webb (“(500) Days of Summer”) and writer Kyle Killen, the compelling series stars newcomer James Wolk as a charismatic and brilliant schemer who has entangled himself in a deep, complex web from which he can’t break free. He’s caught between two very different lives – and two very different women. When both worlds start to close in on him, he must fight to keep his two loves and two lives afloat.
This looks good!

Wow this looks so good! It seems a little like a mashup between Friday Night Lights and the movie Up in the Air, which are two of my favorites, and maybe a little splash of Mad Men. I cannot wait. I have a feeling James Wolk may become one of my new tv boyfriends. He is adorable! I love that Adrienne Palicki is in it, even though that may mean no more FNL for her, which makes me very sad. I can’t wait for this to premeire!
Interesting on many levels!
Too much ‘soap opera’ for me. The only thing that attracts me here is Jon Voight (go figure). Gonna pass.
