TV Guide Network talks ‘Modern TV Dads’ and why they don’t know best
June 13, 2010 by Kath Skerry
Happy Father’s Day, kids!
Well, the big day isn’t until the end of this week, but to get you in the spirit, the TV Guide Network has put together an all-new special that you and your family can pop on to watch together.
“Modern TV Dads: Father Doesn’t Know Best,” premiering Sunday (June 13) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT takes a look back at the small screen dads we’ve gotten to know over the years, from Ward Cleaver and Mike Brady to Tony Soprano, Homer Simpson and newbies like “Modern Family”‘s Phil Dunphy.
It’s a pretty sweet and fun little retrospective that includes commentary from some of GiveMeMyRemote.com’s favorite TV bloggers, including Korbi Ghosh (Zap2it, E! Online).
Take a look at the clips below for a quick preview…

SANDY COHEN!
Oh I love both those picks! When I think TV dads I immediately think of Cliff Huxtable and Jason Seaver. Does that age me?
Kath – Those were some of my first thoughts too! I also love Eric Taylor.
Um…isn’t Father’s Day next Sunday though?
I would choose Jonathan Kent from Smallville.
