What’s this? An actual TV spotlight post? Well sure. Why not. It’s the summer, time for a fresh new (re)start. I don’t know about you, but with the recent slew of season finales and the premieres of the new summer show, I’m kind of at a loss as to what’s on when. Now, more than ever we need a little ‘Tonight’s TV Spotlight’ to make sure we don’t miss out on some delicious summer TV.

The Bachelorette | 8pm on ABC
“In the Spotlight”
The remaining men participate in a makeover and magazine photo shoot; seven of the bachelors audition for a Broadway musical; Joshua Radin and the Harlem Boys Choir perform; two more men are eliminated.
Lie to Me | 8pm on Fox
“Sweet Sixteen”
Cal and Gillian look back over events in their lives—including the therapy session at which they met—after a former colleague of Cal’s at the Pentagon is killed in a car bombing.
The Secret Life of the American Teenager | 8pm on ABC
“Accentuate the Positive”
Amy gets into a music program in New York City, but she worries the faraway location will make it impossible for her to attend. Meanwhile, Jack searches for a new place to call home; Ashley helps Adrian cope with morning sickness; and Ricky confronts Adrian about the rumor that she’s pregnant.
The Good Guys | 9pm on Fox
“Broken Door Theory”
Dan and Jack uncover a high-class prostitution ring and a grisly murder while investigating a damaged vending machine at an upscale hotel.
Last Comic Standing | 9pm on NBC
“New York”
The search for America’s next favorite stand-up comedian continues with auditions and a comedy showcase in New York. Craig Robinson (“The Office”) hosts.
Persons Unknown | 10pm on NBC
“The Edge”
Moira removes the device that was embedded in each person’s thigh; McNair and Joe test the limits of the invisible fence; in San Francisco, a reporter looks for information on his missing mother.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey | 10pm on Bravo
“Play at Your Own Risk”
An empowered Danielle decides to live life to the fullest. Meanwhile, it’s in the cards that Jacqueline will host a poker night, where Danielle’s ex-flame spills more scandalous gossip. Dina continues to be exasperated by all the over-the-top drama and makes a game-changing decision.

We watched the premiere of The Good Guys and I have to say it’s a pretty clever show. We’ll be tuning in again tonight.
