SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE’s Season 7 finalists will officially kick the competition off this Wednesday (June 16) when they hit the floor, accompanied by show alumni.
GMMR caught up with a bunch of the returning dancers — who will now partner with said finalists, as the show tries this new format — and got the scoop on what they’ve been doing since their season of the series…
Anyone in particular you’re excited to have back?

I love all the All Stars, but my heart belongs to Mark and Neil. So excited to have them both back on my TV this summer!
Definitely most excited for Mark! But also excited to see Pasha and Neil back.
Wish some of my favorite female contestants were back and surprised that there aren’t more ballroom people back (Janette would have been great).

Hey Amanda, You know, I had to run to a TV Guide shoot and somehow between Marisa and I, we didn’t get Neil and Lauren, but I will get them very soon. Maybe even this week 🙂
I told my husband last night that the thing I’m most excited about for this season is having Pasha back on my TV. He understands. And I’m really happy to see Allison back again – she was my favorite from Season 2!
So excited to see Courtney and Comfort! I met them both at Les Deux and they were so so so nice! They are both great dancers and I hope that they stay on the show a long time! All the all-stars are amazing – glad to see them all dancing again! Only one question – where is Sabre? (hopefully I spelled her name correctly, sorry if I didn’t 🙂 )

you should put all seasons of SYTYCD, on DVD, then we could watch them over and over. I’ve watched the Australian shows and they are also awesome!!
I couldn’t agree more! I wish there were SYTYCD DVD’s. I still have last year’s special ep, in which they showcased some of the best dance’s from over the year, on my DVR.
Thanks for the interviews Korbi! I have missed Mark since the day he was eliminated in his season. To me he’s by far the best performer, not dancer though he’s fantastic, but performer they’ve ever had.
I’m surprised none of the winners were All Stars. And I agree, the seasons should be on DVD, at least the dances w/o all the extra bg stuff. I’ve edited my fave dances, esp group numbers out of episodes and have my own little best of but I have nothing from seasons 1 or 2. Though, I gotta be honest, I doubt there’s anything from Season 1 I’d wanna keep except maybe 1 or 2 solos.
BTW, I am also happy to see Neil flying across the stage again. I swear he has springs in his feet.
I’d like to see Mark & Ashley paired again. They were smoldering and I was so jealous of Ashley. It’s hard because my fave all stars are the guys but my fave dancers are guys too. Can I get a guy trio with Mark, Neil, and Alex? Yumm-o!
