AMERICAN IDOL’s Crystal Bowersox Wants Lenny Kravitz To Give Her A Call

To all the AMERICAN IDOL fans who were bummed about most of the female contestants getting eliminated early this year, you aren’t alone.

Season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox tells GIVE ME MY REMOTE that being the only girl in the competition during the final weeks wasn’t an ideal situation for her.

“It was a little disheartening to see the girls go home so fast,” Bowersox says in the video below. “When it was down to me and Siobhan [Magnus], that was a lot of fun… we get the same humor and stuff. But once she went home, then it was just me and the guys and it was like… I don’t like to sit and dwell and think that gender really plays a role in anything, but unfortunately, in our society, it does. But I stuck it out until number 2. That’s amazing.”

Agreed. You go, mama.

But now that the show is over, going home is actually what Bowersox is most looking forward to.

“I’m definitely excited about going home,” she tells us re: hitting Ohio on the upcoming IDOL tour. “I’m going to be doing an original song there in Toledo, which is really cool. It’s the one they used on the show… I’m proud of that.”

And once the tour is done, it’s time to work on the album and Crystal knows exactly whom she wants to collaborate with.

“I’m still trying to get Lenny Kravitz to see me waving [for his attention],” she says with a laugh. “I need his funkadelicness. I need the groove. I need it.”
