ROOKIE BLUE: EVERWOOD’s Ephram Brown is Back
June 24, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Gregory Smith is all grow’ed up, you guys.
I mean, just look at him.
If you were a fan of EVERWOOD — the finest television show ever to grace that network-of-yesteryear once known as The WB — you know why I’m so thrilled by Smith’s return to the small screen as a regular on ABC’s ROOKIE BLUE.
He was a kid way back when he played the role of Ephram Brown on the aforementioned EVERWOOD, but even then, he had the power to drive a scene and affect an audience in the most emotional of ways.
I can only hope ROOKIE BLUE gives him material worthy of his talent.
The ABC dramedy, which premieres tonight (Thursday, June 24 at 9 p.m. on ABC), follows a group of young cops, just out of the Academy, who make mistake after mistake as they learn on the job.
Having seen the pilot, I can say, so far, so good.
It’s not Emmy-caliber entertainment just yet, but it’s a solid and fun series that will suck you in.
Think GREY’S ANATOMY with police officers.
And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Smith’s co-stars — namely REAPER’s Missy Peregrym — are quite likable too.
So, yes, give ROOKIE BLUE a shot this evening. It very well may turn out to be a highlight of summer programming for you.

I haven’t heard much about this show other than Gregory Smith is in it, but I think I’ll check it out.
Watch it, love it, it’s great!
