KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST – Does Our Girl Still Have It Going On?

KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST returns for a sixth glorious season on Tuesday (June 15), but having lost the Emmy this past year, has Kathy lost her luster too?
Pfff. What do the Schmemmy’s know?
Kathy continues to shock and awe with her antics, which include a trip to Sarah Palin’s hometown, getting a pap smear in public and, of course, several attempts to score hookers and blow for her tour manager, Tom.
Take a look…
Will you guys watch?
Will you come back here after Tuesday’s premiere and tell us if KG’s still got it?

SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER: Francia Raisa Says Adrian Will Explore All Options
June 15, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Filed under #1 featured, Secret Life of the American Teenager
We’ve been down this road with THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER before, no?
You’d think so, but according to actress Francia Raisa, her character’s pregnancy will not follow the same storyline as the show’s first teenage bun-in-the-oven.
“Adrian handles her situation a little differently than Amy [did],” Raisa says. “She actually wants to, before she goes through– Oh, I can’t even say it, because then I’m going to give stuff away… but she contributes a different aspect [of] a teen pregnancy.”
What’s Raisa trying not to spill?
An abortion on ABC Family?
Seems unlikely.
But I suppose it is 2010.
Or, perhaps, Adrian will consider adoption?
Says Raisa, “We’ll be exploring all options.”
So, what should Adrian do?
Vote and comment too…

SEINFELD Star Wayne Knight to Guest on THE GOOD GUYS

Newman is taking on THE GOOD GUYS.
FOX has confirmed to GiveMeMyRemote.com that former SEINFELD star Wayne Knight will be appearing in the 11th episode of TGG.
Knight will play Perry Black, a low-level clerk at the County Records office. Way over his head in debt, he finds himself doing the whole identity theft thing, GMMR has learned exclusively.
As of now, Knight is scheduled to appear in just that one hour.
Are you pumped to see him go toe-to-toe with Bradley Whitford (Dan) and Colin Hanks (Jack)?
We’re kind of hoping he makes them as uncomfortable as he made Jerry and crew, but perhaps he’ll have an entirely different effect on these two…

DROP DEAD DIVA: Back from the Dead
June 14, 2010 by Sarah Curtis
Filed under #1 featured, Drop Dead Diva, Posts by Sarah (Seels)
Drop Dead Diva fans, you rock the house! I loved all your comments last week, and I am glad to know the show has a home here on the site.
The episode was kind of serious, didn’t you think? Once again, there were two cases running parallel throughout the hour. Jane represented a woman who wished to keep her missing son Daniel (Chad Lowe) from being presumed dead. The opposition is the son’s widow, who has re-married and wishes for her new husband (one of Dan’s former friends) to adopt the son she had with Dan. It gets complicated when Daniel re-appears, alive and interested in getting his life back, and at the very least, his son. What I really liked about this case was that there wasn’t really a villain. DDD can be kind of black and white in the whole good vs. evil thing, but this case had many more gray areas, with real, honest people not looking to get rich quick or screw someone over, and that is just so much more true to life (I hope). It was impossible to choose a side. Underneath all of that was Jane’s complete ability to understand what Dan was feeling. I loved when Dan described his life as not being gone, but like in a museum. Able to be seen, but not touched. Heartbreaking.
GLEE’s Lea Michele & Matthew Morrison on the Tony Awards
June 14, 2010 by Kath Skerry

And here you thought you’d have to wait until the Fall to see Mr. Schu and Rachel Berry sharing the same stage. It was a GLEEtastic night at the Tony Awards when Matthew Morrison and Lea Michele took to the stage to perform big Broadway hits. Both did gleeks proud.
It was nice to see Matthew back in his element. If I never have to see him rap his way through another 90’s band boy cover I’d be a happy girl. Tapping and dancing across the stage – I’d like to see more of this next season, please.
There is no questioning the talent of Ms. Lea Michele, but I have to say, having just seen her perform “Don’t Rain on My Parade” a few weeks ago at Radio City during the Glee concert, I actually prefer Rachel Berry’s version. Maybe it was nerves, but it seemed like Lea not only rushed the song, but was borderline screaming it near the end. The optimism and spirit “Rachel” brought to the song was lost in Lea’s “passionate” (read: angry) performance. Of course it was tres adorable when she sat right in the lap of her best friend, Jonathan Groff. We are going to miss you next year, Jesse St. James.
Watch Matthew and Lea’s performances and share your thoughts.

You’ve heard the buzz and you’re considering giving TRUE BLOOD a look tonight, but you’ve never seen the show and not sure you’ll be able to keep up? Well, my friends you’re in luck. Give me 5 minutes of your time and I’ll let my friend Lafayette bring you up to speed on what you need to know about the people and bizarre happenings of Bon Temps, Louisiana.
Of course I encourage you to watch the first two seasons of TRUE BLOOD either On Demand or on DVD, but don’t let not having seen the previous two seasons keep you from jumping in and devouring the goodness that is season 3.
Tune in to HBO tonight at 8:45pm for the third season premiere of TRUE BLOOD and finally you’ll know what everyone is talking about at the watercooler tomorrow.
TRUE BLOOD Returns and it’s Bloody Fangtastic!

Vampires, maenads and humans…oh my! It’s time to head back to Bon Temps for the season 3 premiere of HBO’s TRUE BLOOD (9pm on HBO).
When we last visited the dark and mysterious small town, the folks of Bon Temps were just emerging from their black-eyed, sex-fueled, possession by the Maenad, Maryann. While most were happy to not remember much about those dark escapades, Eggs became overwrought when Sookie helped him to remember just what he had done while under the control of Maryann. While attempting to confess his sins to Andy, Eggs was shot and killed by Jason Stackhouse, who thought the knife-wielding Eggs was trying to kill Andy (although I suspect Jason wanted to keep his title of ‘Best Body in Bon Temps’ – a crown Eggs surely threatened).
Vampire Bill and Sookie were enjoying a fine night of dancing and dining when Bill had to go and ruin it all by proposing. Needing a minute to compose herself before giving Bill her answer, Sookie retreated to the ladies room only to return to find the restaurant in shambles and Bill gone.
Although quite some time has passed in our world since Bill disappeared, very little time has passed in Bon Temps. Tonight’s season premiere picked up right where things ended last season, so don’t expect much time to breathe before you’re thrown back into the thick of things down in the bayou.

Who are YOUR all time favorite TV Dads?
Summer Fun or Summer Dud – NBC’s PERSONS UNKNOWN
June 8, 2010 by Erik Wilkinson
I have been curious about NBC’s mini-series event, Persons Unknown, since the first ads arrived heralding its impending arrival. After all, if the man behind The Usual Suspects was in charge of building this mystery town, how unsatisfying could it be?
At times during the pilot, I was reminded of Michael Douglas’ film The Game, the CBS reality show Kid Nation, and my favorite table at Italian restaurant chain Buca di Beppo. That’s a bizarre list, but this show runs the gamut from compelling to cheesy. It is harmless fun, with a premise that appeals to fans mourning the end of LOST.
Because of its limited run, viewers should not have to fear a premature cancellation. Barring a ratings disaster, Persons Unknown ought to complete its run. If you were a fan of “Reunion,” an ill-fated 2005 show that was pulled from Fox’s schedule due to lackluster viewership, you may never trust a network to finish what they started. NBC is going through an experimental phase, so you need not worry about a similar scenario.
If you tuned in to Persons Unknown, and would like to see more discussion of it on GMMR, chime in with your comments. It’s a reasonable summer substitute, especially if you are not a fan of Big Brother and the reality show bandwagon. I am on board for next week’s episode, and we’ll see where it goes from there…
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: The Son
June 8, 2010 by Erik Wilkinson
Filed under #1 featured, Friday Night Lights, Posts by Erik
I have played a variety of roles in my life. Before I was ever a student, co-worker, or friend, I was a son. Born into a crowded house with two older siblings, I was fortunate to enjoy the spoils of a childhood filled with love and affection. My parents taught us to value hard work, education, and friendship. Those lessons stayed with me every day, no matter how far I wandered from home.
On Sunday, May 24, 1992, my Mom died suddenly of a brain aneurysm. Losing a parent is a life-changing tragedy, whether you are fifteen (as I was at the time) or fifty-five. There is no better or worse time for it to happen, no paint-by-numbers method to deal with the aftermath. The biggest challenge in the wake of such loss is accepting the realities of your altered universe.
DROP DEAD DIVA Season Premiere: Would I Lie to You

Hey, hey, hey Drop Dead Diva fans! So glad we have a chance to officially talk about this show here on GMMR!
How did you like the season two premiere? I thought it was a pretty good starting off point for what looks like a good summer. Let’s get right to talking about it…
First of all, can we just set up a basic understanding for this season that when we say “Jane”, we really mean “Deb/new Jane”? I think that is the general idea of how the show seems to be dealing with it, don’t you? I’ll say “Old Jane” or “Deb” if I mean either of those two characters.
Last season ended with Jane (while facing disbarment) quitting her job as a lawyer, but happy with her decision. She was also going to go ahead and forget about co-worker (and Deb’s fiancée) Grayson and move on…with boyfriend Tony. But to her surprise (and mine), Old Jane’s husband Ethan showed up at the door.
