We’ve established that I’m a total nerd for TV promos, right?
So when I saw a really cool BONES/FRINGE promo a couple weeks back, I really wanted to write about it.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it anywhere and had to wait until someone uploaded it to YouTube before I could properly nerd out about it online.
No, there’s no new footage, but I promise it’s fun to watch anyway.
Take a look…

And with Paul Wesley hinting during the CCI panel that Stefan’s going to explore his dark side this season, will Elena now turn her attention to Damon?
Listen in as Nina Dobrev answers these questions — as well as which Salvatore brother she would choose to be with — in the TVD press room…

I think she did…

When we last saw the characters on CASTLE, Castle and Beckett had just experienced some pretty bad romantic timing — just as Beckett was about to confess her feelings to him, he revealed that he had reunited with his ex-wife.
Sigh.
And while they have spent the entire summer apart, as we first teased in our Comic-Con live chat, the duo will be reunited in an interesting way in the season premiere.

Are Billy Bell and Jose Ruiz upset about being eliminated from SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE season 7? Not so much. Doesn’t seem like it, anyway. The two boys seemed excited and relieved, talking to reporters backstage after the show on Thursday (July 29).
See for yourself as they talk about what they’ll take from the experience, if they were expecting to get cut this week, where they’re going next and more.
Oh, and Billy tells us what he thinks about Nigel calling him “androgynous”…

GOSSIP GIRL: What Dan, Serena and All Your Favorite Upper East Siders Will Be Up To in Season 4
July 30, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Filed under Gossip Girl, Gossip Girl Spoilers
So, yesterday, we laid some Chuck Bass season 4 knowledge on you — straight from the mouths of GOSSIP GIRL producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage — and today, we’re talking Dan… and Georgina and Serena and Vanessa, Nate, Eric and Katie Cassidy’s new character too…
We’re gonna get right into it: Does Georgina’s baby really belong to Dan?
Stephanie Savage: (Smiles) Georgina’s baby is Georgina’s baby. And you will learn more as the episodes unfold.
We just saw a season 4 promo that showed Dan cradling an infant. Was that Georgina’s baby he was holding?
SS: That was Georgina’s baby, yes. It was not Dorota’s — I’ve been asked that.
How will you handle the storyline, being that Georgina is a teen mom?
SS: Well, it’s Georgina, so is she really a teen? (Laughs) I think she might be immortal, maybe she’s like 200 years old… No, on the one hand, there’s a lot of humor coming from these young people trying to deal with this unexpected situation, but there’s also a lot of underlying emotion and heart in this story too. I think it’s a great storyline for Penn [Badgley] and Michelle [Trachtenberg] to do together because they both [are capable of making] this heightened, over-the-top situation feel like something that’s much more grounded and real.
How will Rufus and Lily and the rest of the family take it?
Josh Schwartz: (Laughs) How do you think they take it? Not terribly well. But Dan is a good guy and he’s going to do the right thing.
What about Serena and Vanessa?
JS: It’s going to complicate [his relationship with] them. It’s going to be a big source of conflict, especially [concerning] Serena [who is trying to choose] between Nate and Dan.
SS: Serena left in a place of being a little unsure of who she really wanted to be with and that is a question that Blair asks her at the beginning of the first episode. [She says] you can’t go back to New York without making a choice. You know, who knows what the guys are thinking, but what’s in your heart and who do you really want to be with? And that’s something that will occupy quite a bit of Serena’s time as the year goes on.
TNT Renews THE CLOSER, RIZZOLI & ISLES, LEVERAGE

THE CLOSER, RIZZOLI & ISLES and LEVERAGE are not going anywhere.
TNT announced new season orders for the three series this morning, with network vice president and head of programming Michael Wright mentioning the success they’ve enjoyed on Sundays and Mondays because of the dramas.
Said Wright, “All three shows feature terrific casts, sharp writing and top-notch production teams. We look forward to continued success with new seasons in 2011.”
According to network stats, THE CLOSER — going into its 7th season — continues to rank as ad-supported cable’s #1 series of all time while RIZZOLI & ISLES currently ranks as cable’s #1 new series in the past year.
Both THE CLOSER and LEVERAGE were picked up for 15-episode seasons. RIZZOLI & ISLES received a 13-episode order.
Any thoughts?

NBC Plans 30 ROCK Live Show, Makes Rob Lowe a Series Regular on PARKS AND REC
July 30, 2010 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under 30 Rock, NBC, Parks & Recreation, Steve Carell, The Office, TV News
For fans of NBC comedies, the news coming out of the NBC Executive Session at TCA is pretty epic.
First up, 30 ROCK will be airing a live episode on October 14 — with original tapings for both the east and west coasts.
Over on PARKS & RECREATION, Rob Lowe has been promoted to series regular. Sadly, the show is still scheduled as a mid-season series, so there’s no word on when we’ll actually see new episodes.
And for those who were hoping that THE OFFICE would wrap up this season when Steve Carell left, well it’s not happening. Angela Bromstad, NBC’s entertainment chief, appears to be dead set against that idea. She compared the notion to the network ending ER when George Clooney left, which of course they did not.
Um, so not the same, but that’s not an argument we’re going to win.
Also of note:
- The season premiere of PARENTHOOD has moved to September 14.
- There will be a special sneak preview of the new Jimmy Smits series OUTLAW after the season finale of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT.
- September 16th will mark the season premiere of THE APPRENTICE.
What to make of this news from NBC? You excited for the 30 ROCK live shows? Thrilled Rob Lowe is going to be a series regular? Excited (or annoyed) that NBC is sticking with THE OFFICE?

A lot of will-they-won’t-they TV couples go through drama on their respective shows, but it’s hard to think of one that’s had a rougher go of it than EUREKA’s Allison and Jack.
Things, however, will soon start to look up for the duo. We chatted with series star Colin Ferguson at Comic Con last weekend and he told us about what’s to come…

SMALLVILLE Producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson Tease the Final Season
July 30, 2010 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Smallville, TV News
As SMALLVILLE gears up for its last season, fans prepare to say farewell to their favorite characters…and everyone is wondering what will happen in the final hours of the series.
So GIVE ME MY REMOTE spent some quality time with SMALLVILLE executive producers Kelly Souders and Brian Peterson who offered a few teases on some of season 10’s lingering issues…
Season finale fallout:
“[The confrontation with Zod] sends [Clark] in a different trajectory,” Souders says. “I don’t know [that] it’s something people are going to see coming and I think it’s going to propel him out of the first episode with a very clear problem in his lap. He realizes he’s not the guy that everyone looks to when they think of Superman, who everybody looks to as inspirational and a clear-hearted guy. That’s not who Clark Kent is right now and that becomes very clear to him in the premiere.”
