FRINGE: Amy Madigan to Appear in Four Episodes

Ever since Olivia learned that her mother was alive in the alternate universe, FRINGE fans have been waiting to find out who would play the key role.

So, perhaps this will be an early Independence Day present for them…

EW.com is reporting that actress Amy Madigan (GREY’S ANATOMY, CARNIVALE) has joined the cast for four episodes as, you guessed it, Olivia’s mommy.

Personally, we’re excited to see how this mother-daughter dynamic plays out, especially since our Olivia is now trapped in that aforementioned alternate universe.

Will her ma be the one who helps to save her from Walternate’s prison?

Or maybe she’s evil and will help to keep Olivia against her will?

The possibilities are endless.
