FX Renews LOUIE, Picks Up Pilot from RENO 911 Creators
August 3, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
FX chief John Landgraf announced the renewal of comedian Louis CK’s sitcom, LOUIE, at the Television Critics Press Tour this morning (Aug. 3).
The comedy has been picked up for 13 episodes, which will begin airing in summer 2011.
Landgraf mentioned its strong DVR numbers as a major factor in the network’s decision to give it a second season.
RENO 911 creators Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon are also back in business at FX with a greenlight for their comedy pilot, USS ALABAMA, which we’re told will be similar in tone to RENO.
