CASTLE Stars Jon Huertas and Seamus Dever Talk Friendship and Romance (With Others!)
August 4, 2010 by Marisa Roffman
Note to all reporters covering television: be careful around those CASTLE boys.
When I chatted with series star Nathan Fillion earlier this year, he unexpectedly turned the flip camera around on me.
It was amazingly, fantastically horrible/awesome.
Then, when I chatted with Jon Huertas (Esposito) and Seamus Dever (Ryan) at Comic-Con, both actors had CNN flip cameras to document their Con experience. Guess who ended up in front of the cam again?
Um, in defense of my appearance, it was day 4 of Comic-Con. At that point, I was pretty much a part of the walking dead.
So yes, Huertas and Dever taped me — doing my best impression of a zombie — for about a minute of our interview.
Good thing they’re adorable.
Check out the video to get their take on their characters’ (platonic) relationship, why they’re going to be solving more cases on their own and if an Esposito/Lanie relationship may already be happening right under our noses…

Excited to see Ryan/Esposito tackling some of their own cases?

Castle is one of the few shows on television where you can easily see the fun relationship the actors have off screen come through their characters on screen. The positive attitudes they bring to the set and to the fans seems so infectious.
Love them…love Castle…love the world’s newest star, gmmr’s own Marisa!!
Great video/interview! They are so great together both on and off camera and I can’t wait to see more Ryan/Esposito in Season 3!!
Thanks for this!!!
Haha.. Jon is so cute! Thanks for posting this. Can’t wait to see Lanie and Esposito together this season!!
Dear Seamus & Jon,
The more you underline and put an exclamation point after the word ‘friends’ the more we ship you two together. We shippers think you doth protest too much!
These guys are so funny. Great interview, Marisa! One thing I loved about them this past season was the sort of ‘boys club’ they formed with Castle, encouraging him to like Beckett. It was cute.
