CASTLE’s Nathan Fillion Wants to Host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Ah, Facebook, what wonderful powers you have.
You successfully orchestrated Betty White’s turn as host of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and now another cult fave wants in on that action.
“Just heard there’s a Facebook page to get me on SNL. Worked for Betty White!!” CASTLE star Nathan Fillion tweeted earlier today.
Indeed, there are two different “Nathan Fillion to host SNL” pages currently on Facebook with a combined 12,000-plus fans. And since Fillion has been tweeting about both campaigns for the last few hours to his 609,000-plus Twitter followers, those numbers are sure to jump.
And Fillion’s so keen on the idea, he’s even tweeting sketch possibilities to help the writers out: “SNL sketch idea. Get into a fat suit, have “What if Firefly was still on?” episode.”
Love it.
What say you?
Think Fillion should host SNL?
If so, what other shows would you love to see him satirize via sketch?

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino will compete in the upcoming season of DANCING WITH THE STARS, OK! Magazine is reporting.
While ABC won’t make an official cast announcement until August 30th, The Situation will reportedly be joined on the competition series by reality star Audrina Patridge, singer Brandy and former NFL star Kurt Warner.
The Situation has had an eventful couple of weeks, as he was rumored to be appearing in the JERSEY SHORE-themed episode of BONES, only to have contract issues get in the way.
But what do you guys think of this latest news?
Will The Situation make you more likely to tune into DANCING WITH THE STARS?
Or will his presence have you changing the channel?

Though the cast of COUGAR TOWN reported for their first week of season 2 work earlier this month, sources confirm to GIVE ME MY REMOTE that today (Monday, Aug. 23) will be Jennifer Aniston’s first day on set.
Aniston, who will be playing Jules’ (Courteney Cox) “new age”-type therapist in the season 2 premiere, will shoot her guest role this week and it will air on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 9:30 p.m.
Will you watch?
You should. COUGAR TOWN evolved into a really fantastic show by the middle of its first season, so if you tuned out last fall, the premiere would be a great time for you to come back and check out how it has changed…

DROP DEAD DIVA: Good Grief
August 23, 2010 by Sarah Curtis
Filed under #1 featured, Drop Dead Diva, TV News
Hey, Drop Dead Diva fans! It’s hard to believe that season two is almost over, but it’s true. There is a lot to talk about this Jane-centric episode, Good Grief. We’ve got a clown and former Bachelor Jake Pavelka. For those of you keeping score at home, it’s actually two DIFFERENT clowns. Don’t believe me? Read on; let’s discuss.
Weren’t the Jane vs. Jane dream sequences really creative? It’s fun to see how the writers can continue the thread of tension between Old Jane and New Jane. New or old, our Jane is presented with an interesting case when Evan, a man in full clown costume is her first appointment. She reads over his file and talks with him about his termination from a reputable corporation. He worked there for many years, but in recent months began wearing the clown suit, shoes, wig and make-up. Jane gains compassion when she asks Evan why he took bereavement leave before his wardrobe change, and he admits that his wife died. Almost as shocking is when Grayson volunteers to be her second chair, stating, “He lost his wife; I might have some insights.”

PARENTHOOD: Your First Look at Season 2

PARENTHOOD is the crown jewel of NBC’s catalog of dramas. A rare combination of big-time star wattage and top-shelf writing, the program built an audience around the feats and foibles of the Braverman family. There were dozens of ways the show could have gone wrong, but millions of viewers are grateful that it defied the odds and became part of our weekly routines.
Just in time for the back-to-school season, NBC is offering a sneak preview of Season Two. There are minor spoilers in the clip, so be forewarned. Let’s just say that kids can ask the darndest questions sometimes!
Tune in to PARENTHOOD’s Season Premiere on Tuesday, September 14th, then remember to visit GIVE ME MY REMOTE to join the discussion about Team Braverman’s new adventures!
THE GOOD WIFE: Michael J. Fox to Guest
August 20, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Filed under #1 featured, The Good Wife
CBS announced this morning that five-time Emmy winner, Michael J. Fox — who’ll always be Alex P. Keaton to me — will face off with Julianna Margulies in an episode of THE GOOD WIFE this fall.
According to the network, Fox will appear as Simon Canning, a shrewd and cynical litigator whom Alicia (Margulies) goes up against in a massive class action suit. Canning is willing to use anything in court, including symptoms of his neurological condition, to create sympathy for his otherwise unsympathetic client: a giant pharmaceutical company.
“We’re absolutely thrilled that Michael has agreed to play this role,” said executive producers and show creators Robert and Michelle King. “His intelligence as an actor, combined with his incredible comic timing will really bring this smart, cynical lawyer to life.”
Other significant castings for the sophomore season of THE GOOD WIFE include FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star Scott Porter — who will recur as private eye, like Kalinda, at a D.C. firm which Lockhart & Gardner will be merging with — Michael Ealy (FLASHFORWARD) — who will play the head of said firm — and Dallas Roberts (THE L WORD) who will play Alicia’s gay brother.
The second season of THE GOOD WIFE premieres Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m.
The series’ first season is up for nine Emmys next Sunday.

HUMAN TARGET: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’s Tahmoh Penikett, LOST’s M.C. Gainey to Guest
August 20, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh

HUMAN TARGET had some pretty sexy guest stars in its first season earlier this year, but the show is wasting no time topping itself.
Former BATTLESTAR GALACTICA actor Tahmoh Penikett will appear in HUMAN TARGET’s second season premiere.
See left. Enough said.
Also, Timothy Omundson (PSYCH) will return to guest in that first fall ep.
Molly Parker (SWINGTOWN) and M.C. Gainey (LOST, JUSTIFIED) are set to guest in episode two.
Do you approve?
Will you watch?

Joshua Jackson on Pacey-Con and If He’ll Do It Again Next Year

In case you haven’t been following my adventures on Twitter, I should let you know that I’m currently up in Vancouver visiting the sets of HUMAN TARGET, V and FRINGE.
Yes, I’ve been talking with some of our favorite small screen stars and I’ll be rolling out those interviews as their fall premieres draw closer, but this particular treat just can’t wait.
I came face-to-face with FRINGE star Joshua Jackson last night and after we had a lengthy conversation about the show, I couldn’t resist asking him about the infamous “Pacey-Con” stunt from last month’s Comic-Con.
What was his take on it? And would he be willing to repeat the whole deal next year?
Take a look…
