MY GENERATION Canceled
October 4, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
On the heels of FOX axing LONE STAR after just two airings, ABC has made MY GENERATION the second victim of the 2010 fall season.
No surprise really, given the ratings, but the jam packed Thursday time slot which MY GENERATION was occupying pretty much ensured that it would tank.
Too bad, because the concept was pretty cool. Could’ve grown into a great series.
Sad stuff for the actors, writer-producers and crew.
Did any of you even see the show?

I actually really enjoyed the show. I mean, it was kind of slow getting started, but I could tell it had promise and was starting to get interested into the characters. It was a very tough timeslot though – I’m just glad we have two DVRs in my house to catch the overflow. 🙁 I’m sorry it’s ending, but I guess I can go out and enjoy real life more for an hour (and by real life I mean Big Bang Theory and Bones)
It wasn’t ever going to win any Emmy’s, but I enjoyed it. I thought it was an interesting idea, and as someone who graduated in 2001, I really enjoyed their use of current events over the past 10 years. It was easy to identify with the characters and storyline, and I’m kind of sad that ABC didn’t give it a few more episodes in a different time slot. I hate when networks don’t give shows a fair shot…bad time slots + minimal promotion…and then chalk it up to failure on the part of the show. Just my 2 cents.
