Fox Orders a Full Season of RAISING HOPE
October 6, 2010 by Marisa Roffman
And the first freshman show of the 2010-2011 season to get a full order pickup is…Fox’s RAISING HOPE.
Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company, confirmed that the sitcom’s back nine episodes will be produced, via press release today.
“With RAISING HOPE, Greg Garcia captures a smart take on the working-class family with a great mix of wild comedy and a big dose of heart,” said Reilly. “The show is running like a Swiss clock, and we’re very happy with how well audiences have responded so far – so we’re confident it will build an even bigger audience throughout the season.”
A pretty big deal considering Fox’s less-than-stellar track record with live action comedies.
“I’m really happy for our incredibly talented cast and very hard-working crew. They have done an amazing job and deserve this,” said RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia in a statement. “Me? I was looking forward [to] some time off, but I guess that’s not going to happen.”
No sir, it is not.
Are you excited that RAISING HOPE will be sticking around?

Yay! I’ve enjoyed this show a lot. Ironically, my brother and I have been working through all of My Name is Earl, and so it was a fun surprise to know that Greg Garcia was in on this one too. I laughed when “Kenny” from ‘Earl’ was the head of the supermarket 🙂
Good news!
This is awesome news. I am loving this show. 🙂 YAY!
Great news! My favorite of the new shows this fall!
I have been telling everyone I know to watch Raising Hope since the first episode. I hope it’s around for a very long time.
This news makes me really happy. Out of all of the new shows it’s my fave. It’s quirky with heart… what could be better?
Yes, really like this show funny and super sweet. Baby Hope might be the cutest baby ever 🙂
