VAMPIRE DIARIES’ Kevin Williamson to Create Companion Series for CW
November 30, 2010 by Korbi Ghosh
Kevin Williamson, executive producer of The CW’s THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, could probably use some supernatural energy of his own come 2011. According to E! Online, Williamson will develop a TVD “companion series” for the netlet while continuing to run TVD this winter.
The details? Apparently, the proposed pilot will be a one-hour drama about a group of researchers who investigate paranomal happenings. It’s unlikely that any of the VAMPIRE DIARIES characters would cross over to the new series as it is currently unconnected to the TVD world and is considered a completely different project.
It will likely be just one of several options for THE CW’s Fall 2011 schedule as BUFFY alum Michelle Trachtenberg, TVD book series author L.J. Smith and Samuel L. Jackson are all reportedly developing projects as well.

This reminds me a lot of when Josh Schwartz was asked to do another project for FOX and the quality of The OC went down the drain. I’m not positive about the idea of the already workoverloaded Kevin to do another prOject and still run TVD
I feel your worry, but hopefully that won’t be the case…
