Who Packed Their Knives and Left TOP CHEF: ALL STARS?
December 23, 2010 by Samantha Simorangkir

‘Tis the season to stuff our faces. And what better way to celebrate the upcoming festivities with a TOP CHEF challenge involving a holiday staple: stuffing! As Tiffani says “stuffing is house-specific.” I’ve had to pleasure of sampling holiday dishes from households of many friends. I have had stuffing with rice, stuffing with sausage, stuffing with sage, stuffing with berries, and instant stuffing out of the box (don’t care, it’s good stuff.) When it comes to stuffing possibilities, the sky is the limit… until, what falls from the sky but none other than a ridiculous twist that would never happen to these chefs in real life, but will test their essential chef-ly qualities of resourcefulness and creativity: They must cook with no utensils!
Fabio grates cheese on the top rack of a shelf. According to Fabio, Fabio is a genius. Carla bangs on an onion like a cavewoman. Casey feels like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. Except she’s missing her “Wilson” (Dale Levitski *sadface*). Tre hyper-freezes his ingredients with liquid nitrogen so he can break it up more easily. Marcel finds this challenge ridiculous, which is how he sees much of the world.
Casey’s dish looks more like a deconstructed stuffing dish, than stuffing. Which may be good or bad. Jamie makes a crepinette (whatever that is) and since it is a take on a matzo ball soup, she has a broth, which she pours sloppily into her dish. Jamie, how are you still here?
PSYCH’s James Roday on the Yin Yang Trilogy Conclusion

For PSYCH fans, Wednesday’s finale will be kind of bittersweet. Not only has another season come to an end — can we have sixth season ASAP, please? — but the long-running Yin Yang trilogy comes to a close with “Yang 3 in 2D.”
Yes, the storyline — which first kicked off in season 3’s “An Evening with Mr. Yang” — is officially concluding. And for those who are hoping for a reprise later in the series…you probably shouldn’t hold your breath.
“The intention was to end [the arc] and answer all questions and hopefully leave people feeling satisfied,” PSYCH star James Roday (Shawn) tells Give Me My Remote in the video below.
What else can he tease about the hour? And will Shawn and Juliet continue on in relationship bliss?

It’s chilly outside and our favorite shows are airing reruns, so what’s worth watching on TV?
I’m only slightly ashamed to admit that I’m super excited for the series premiere of MILLION DOLLAR MONEY DROP tonight.
Yes, it’s a game show. But based on the previews below, it seems like it will be the perfect amount of mindless fun for the end of the year.

SURVIVOR Offers a Big Twist in the Name of ‘Redemption’ Next Season

How does SURVIVOR keep it fresh and interesting after 21 seasons? They switch up the game.
Tonight, during the season final of SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA, Jeff Probst announced a new twist for season 22, which kicks off in just over a month.
Next season, SURVIVOR: REDEMPTION ISLAND gives the castaways a shot at the million, even after they’ve been voted out of the game.
Here’s how it works: When someone is voted out at tribal council, rather than going home, they will be taken to Redemption Island and forced to live alone until the next castaway joins them. At that time, the two will square off in a head-to-head dual. Whomever survives stays in the game while the other person is sent packing for good. If someone survives on Redemption Island long enough, he or she will be invited back in to the game. That could make it very uncomfortable for those who had a hand in that person’s original ousting.
It’s a little SURVIVOR meets MTV’s: THE CHALLENGE. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
The next season of SURVIVOR premieres on February 16th on CBS.

Who Won SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA?

Filed under #1 featured, Survivor, Survivor Recap
Going in to tonight’s season finale of SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA there is one player and only one player I care to see win. Who that player came as much of a shock to me as it might you. After 39-something days on the island, I am hoping that Fabio walks away with the million dollar prize tonight. After what went down at the last Tribal Council, I’m not interested in seeing Holly, Sash or Chase win it all. I suppose Dan has a shot, but…oh wait. No he doesn’t.
Whomever does go to the finale tonight would probably be best served to have Dan by their side. The guy has done nothing since he got to the island, but since he hasn’t been a credible threat, everyone has kept him around. Since there are no true villains left in the game, I can’t imagine Dan getting any votes from the jury. He’s the safest best for all the remaining castaways.
I’ll be sharing my thoughts as tonight’s episode plays out. In less than two three four hours from now we will have our answer.

Did the Right Chef Go Home on TOP CHEF?

In the aftermath of Jen-gate, the all-stars are shocked and undoubtedly making mental notes to hold their tongue if and when their time comes at Judges’ Table. What an emotional and mental wreck it must be for them to see who they deemed a primary competitor of the group be picked away so soon and so suddenly. But the show must go on.
The cheftestants march into the kitchen, to see David Chang, who is kind of a big deal, and a bit of a step up from Joe Jonas. Padma informs them that for the quickfire, they will be broken in to teams based on whom they are already standing next to. (This is why I always sat by friends in class, in case teachers would pull stunts like this when splitting us into groups!) Fabio is happy with his team, even with Angelo, though he “wears his pants a little too tight” for his liking. (Pot, meet kettle.) Spike is happy to be once again teamed with his idol/love of his life Richard Blais, but Stephen he could do without. “He can open a bottle of wine for us,” says Spike. Ouch. But true.

With the wrap-up of SGU, this marks the end of the STARGATE franchise’s 8-year run on Syfy. STARGATE SG-1 ended in ’07 and STARGATE ATLANTIS ended in ’09, right before SGU began.
