Well, this is a lovely way to start off the network portion of the Television Critics Association winter session: ABC has given an early pickup to six shows.

CASTLE, GREY’S ANATOMY, PRIVATE PRACTICE, MODERN FAMILY, COUGAR TOWN and THE MIDDLE all received renewals for the 2011-2012 season, the network has announced.

    Great news for Castle! I don’t watch the others, but Castle is a show I look forward to and enjoy for the most part.
