BONES Casts Michael Clarke Duncan in Spinoff Episode
January 19, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
The BONES “spinoff” has cast its first major role.
The potential spinoff follows former military man Walter Sherman (aka “The Locator”) who can find anything, but his, um, interesting personality — including extreme paranoia– makes him difficult to deal with.
As TV Line first reported, Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that Michael Clarke Duncan has landed the role of Leo, one of the partners who assists Walter with his cases.
According to the script, Leo is a “gentle-giant cowboy philosopher” who doubles as a lawyer. He keeps Walter in line by warning him what legal lines he could be crossing and, yes, Leo kicks a little butt.
The potential spinoff is set to start filming in early February and is slated to air as the 19th episode of the season.
What do you think of the casting news? Ducan is the perfect definition of a gentle giant, right?

Have they cast “The Locator” yet? I like Michael Clarke Duncan. I can see liking him on a tv show.
@Becky: No, they haven’t cast Walter yet.
If the actor and character are half as good as my favorite Walter, John Noble, I’m in!
