THE OFFICE Welcomes Will Ferrell
January 26, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
THE OFFICE is pulling out all the stops to say goodbye to series star Steve Carell (Michael).
In addition to Ricky Gervais reprising the role of David Brent on Thursday night’s episode, Deadline.com is reporting that Will Ferrell will appear in four episodes of the NBC comedy later this season. Apparently, Ferrell is playing a branch manager who is as inappropriate as Michael.
What do you guys think of this piece of casting news? As we’re winding down to Michael Scott’s final days on the show, do you wish more time was being paid to his send-off and not on big-name guest stars? Or are you just happy that the former ANCHORMAN (and BEWITCHED) costars will be reunited on the small-screen?
Let’s chat.

I wish there was more of a fanfare for Carell without so many guest-stars but then again, The Office has had a lot of guest-stars over the years so it’s keeping with its M.O. They really don’t need any more superstars though because they most definitely already have one in Steve Carell!!
