Are you all as excited as I am that COMMUNITY comes back tonight?
I hope not, because having too many people as excited as I am might cause some sort of riot or public safety issue, so we might want to try and contain ourselves.
That may be difficult, however, when you watch this preview of the episode. Here’s a hint/spoiler: it features guest star Malcolm-Jamal Warner (wearing a COSBY sweater, no less) as Shirley’s ex-husband/current boyfriend. Gasp!
But what about the potential Chang baby? Hopefully we’ll find out this evening.
In the meantime, here’s the clip:

Yep, things are about to get crazy and that includes Divya’s upcoming wedding.

So does Divya make the choice Shetty thought she would?

FAIRLY LEGAL: Michael Trucco Talks About the Kate-Justin Dynamic
January 20, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
Filed under #1 featured, Fairly Legal
FAIRLY LEGAL premieres on USA Network tonight, and if you’re a fan of their brand of quirky shows, you should definitely give the pilot a try.
Sarah Shahi plays Kate, a lawyer-turned-mediator, who can find the middle ground in any situation, no matter how minor it is. When Kate’s father dies, her work gets even more complicated, thanks to her new boss, Lauren — who also happens to be her dreaded stepmother.
And for television fans that are tired of the will-they-won’t-they drama male and female leads are generally put through, you won’t find that here.
Justin (Michael Trucco) and Kate are separated spouses who can’t quite stay away from each other, despite the dissolution of their marriage. No, things aren’t simple or clear cut, but it’s a fun new dynamic that doesn’t really get played out on TV that much.
I recently caught up with Trucco and we chatted about the relationship between Kate and Justin, what it’s like filming an entire season of a show before anyone sees it, plus the dynamics of working for USA Network…
AMERICAN IDOL Season 10 Premiere Recap

It wasn’t until after I turned off AMERICAN IDOL’s season premiere last night that it occurred to me — I didn’t miss Simon Cowell. Not only did I not I miss him, but he didn’t cross my mind once during the entire show. It was a bit of a revelatory moment considering that Simon has been the backbone of IDOL since the show premiered back in 2002.
With Simon (and Kara and Ellen) gone, there was room next to Randy at the judges table, and last night was the first time America got to see new judges, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler, in action. How would Jenny from the Block and the Aerosmith front man fare critiquing these fresh crop of IDOL wannabes? Would they be truly participatory or merely just the window dressing in a desperate attempt to save the show?
Modern Family: ‘Caught in the Act’

Filed under #1 featured, Modern Family
Who else watched MODERN FAMILY this week instead of AMERICAN IDOL? I don’t know about you, but I’d rather hang out with the Pritchett family than Ryan and the (over-hyped) new judges any day.
Unfortunately, the classic sitcom misunderstanding was once again used on the show this week. I hope they get out of that habit soon because the writers are better than that. Still, it was funny…
TOP CHEF: ‘Restaurant Wars: One Night Only’
January 20, 2011 by Samantha Simorangkir
Filed under #1 featured, Top Chef, Top Chef: All Stars
I love Restaurant Wars. It always comes at a time when only really good chefs remain, so we see a lot of rock-star food coming out of the kitchen. Also, there is the added pressure of time and teamwork that always results in a good sh*tshow.
Dale wins the quick fire by coming the closest to Le Bernadin-standard fish butchering, and subsequently making a spectacular dish out of the head, wings, fins, bones and collar. His family was been cooking “nose-to-tail” long before it was cool. [Side note: When was it ever not cool?] He is rewarded with not only immunity, but also team captain power. He picks Marcel as the opposing team’s captain, to get as far away from him as possible.
BONES: Emily Deschanel Previews the Latest Twist in the Brennan-Booth-Hannah Triangle

Last we saw Booth and Brennan on BONES, things were kind of tragic.
Brennan finally realized that she wanted more from her relationship with Booth — only to have him turn her down, since he’s with someone new.
The semi-good news? It certainly appears that things are about to blow up.

Sure, it may be winter outside, but the return of ROYAL PAINS is bringing summer to our television.
I’ve screened Thursday’s brand new episode and it is super fun. “Mulligan” picks up right where the mid-season finale left off — with Eddie’s heart attack — but he isn’t the only main character who is facing health issues.
I caught up with series star Mark Feuerstein (Hank) at a Paley Center event honoring ROYAL PAINS and we chatted about the mid-season premiere, what the fallout will be for Eddie and his sons, the show’s fantastic writers and much more…
BONES Casts Michael Clarke Duncan in Spinoff Episode

The BONES “spinoff” has cast its first major role.
The potential spinoff follows former military man Walter Sherman (aka “The Locator”) who can find anything, but his, um, interesting personality — including extreme paranoia– makes him difficult to deal with.
As TV Line first reported, Fox has confirmed to Give Me My Remote that Michael Clarke Duncan has landed the role of Leo, one of the partners who assists Walter with his cases.

OFFICE fans, hold onto your hats.
It was announced today that Ricky Gervais — controversial GOLDEN GLOBES host and, more importantly, co-creator and star of the UK version of THE OFFICE — will be reprising his role as David Brent on NBC’s version of the show.
The guest appearance has been described as simply a “small cameo,” will appear during the January 27th episode of the series. Reportedly, the cameo was shot all the way back in September, and that producers had been hoping to keep the appearance a secret to surprise fans.

LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Neal Baer and Shohreh Aghdashloo Preview ‘Dirty’

Comments Off on LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT: Neal Baer and Shohreh Aghdashloo Preview ‘Dirty’
On tonight’s new episode of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT, Emmy-winner Shohreh Aghdashloo guest stars and the topic of sexism in the workplace is tackled.
“This is [an episode] that really explores what it is to be a woman detective, through the eyes of Shohreh’s character and Mariska [Hargitay]’s character (Olivia),” explained executive producer Neal Baer in a conference call with reporters. “This is a big episode that really only has Mariska and Shohreh in it. Ice-T (Fin) is in it a bit, but it’s really about women who have been working for a while in their positions and what pressures, stresses and strains confront them. Also, Gloria Reuben is in the show as well, so it’s really the three of them confronting what it means to be a woman in the top of their field with many pressures from men.”
WHITE COLLAR Recap: Burke’s Seven

Filed under #1 featured, White Collar
Welcome back, White Collar fans! I’m glad to be back, recapping the adventures of our favorite FBI/con artist team. Just like last summer, I’ll split these posts into two main parts: the Case of the Week and the Music Box Mystery. Then it will be your turn to weigh in as we revel in the bromance of Neal and Peter while unraveling the conspiracies and questions surrounding them both.
Let’s get started!
It’s been a long, cold winter while we wait to find out what happened to our beloved Mozzie. Will he make it? And almost as important, will they give his real name at the hospital?
In typical White Collar fashion, we aren’t kept waiting for answers. We see Mozzie rushed to the hospital, briefly flatline (nooooo!) and then recover enough to lie peacefully in a medically induced coma.
Peter is sympathetic and concerned, but he’s not about to let Neal wait around in Mozzie’s hospital room. Peter reminds his friends that “there’s nothing you can do for him here. But there’s something you can do out there”.
