The NBA All-Star weekend doesn’t officially kick off until Friday, February 18, but THE CLEVELAND SHOW is starting the festivities tonight when seven NBA players guest star as themselves on Fox’s animated series.
“Cleveland gets some tickets from work to the NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles,” Mike Henry (Cleveland) told reporters on a conference call earlier this week. “So he and Donna fly out for the game, and Cleveland gets drunk at the game starts [and is] heckling the players. They get their feelings hurt by this heckling — as I’m sure they would in reality — and vow to band together to go to Virginia to beat Cleveland up.”
Oh, Cleveland, you’re such a trouble maker. But he isn’t the only member of the Brown-Tubbs household causing chaos this week.

SMALLVILLE: Beacon

Hey GMMRers! Before I break right into the latest and greatest of this week’s Smallville episode I have to share my colossal excitement that actor Michael Rosenbaum will be returning to Smallville after months of speculation. Can you believe it? According to sources, Rosenbaum, who played Lex Luthor for seven seasons, wasn’t looking to return with plans to move forward, behind his role as the villainous Lex, but changed his mind!
Moving on, this week’s Smallville, titled Beacon, showcased the return of Senator Martha Kent, out to rally against the VRA. Shot by an unknown gunman during her speech in Metropolis, the famous Annette O’Toole returns to town in an effort to ensure Clark’s future and by no surprise shares a pact she made with Jonathan years ago to protect Clark no matter what the cost, even her life. One of my favorite Smallville characters! Martha also had plenty to mull over with Chloe.

Last night we got a bit more insight into what Sam had been up to in the year between coming back from hell and meeting up with Dean, and it wasn’t pretty. We’ve seen Sam with no soul, we’ve even seen him use his own brother as vampire bait, but we haven’t seen him quite this cold before. Even Samuel thought he took things too far.
I figure that all of this must have happened before Samuel made his deal with Crowley, since he actually seemed to be primarily concerned with doing the right thing. He didn’t seem intent on capturing any alphas, even though they were dealing with a new and different monster, the arachne, a sort of spider-human hybrid.
