TERRA NOVA Series Premiere Pushed Back to Fall 2011
March 11, 2011 by Marisa Roffman
The planned May debut of Fox’s new series TERRA NOVA is being pushed back to Fall 2011.
So what is causing the delay?
“TERRA NOVA is one of the most ambitious television series ever produced,” said Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company in a press release. “The cutting-edge visual effects used to create the world of TERRA NOVA, which is of massive scope and scale, require more time to be realized. This aspect of the series is essential, so we are pushing back the special early preview date to give the visual effects team the time needed for their ground-breaking work.”
Are you okay with waiting a few extra months for TERRA NOVA’s debut?

I am okay with it if it means we will view a finished, polished final product instead of something rushed out half-heartedly and incomplete to meet a deadline.
However, the fact that so much time and effort (and money) is required just to get this thing camera-ready, raises the question of how (and IF) they will be able to pull it off regulary, week to week, to meet the demands of the series.
