Dancing with the Stars Recap – Week 2

With eliminations this week, the contestants tried their best to increase their scores and most of them got into a groove. Romeo stopped complaining about looking feminine and instead went the polar opposite, constantly flirting. Even Wendy managed to bring some personality out despite her obvious dancing difficulties.
But I really dislike the fact that several teams had to rely on props this early into the competition in hopes that it would boost their appeal. The pros know that Len is not a fan of routines that depend on props, so I’m surprised they thought that was a good idea.
I’ve never been a big fan of host Brooke Burke, who took over for Samantha Harris, but she was definitely channeling her inner Elvira during this episode. Whoever dresses her should be fired. The contestants, whose interviews seemed really off, might’ve been distracted by a number of things, her outfit choice probably being one of them. And then there was the point when Brooke just blatantly cut Dmitry off — who, by the way, needs just as much help trying to portray a likable personality.
But I digress. Let’s get to the performances and break things down…

FRINGE Friday!
Savor this one, kids, because after tonight’s episode, we have a mini-hiatus. Boo! But we did get an early season four renewal, so…yeah, I can deal with this break.
Before we start off with the meat of the episode, did anyone else notice the odd camera angles for certain parts of the hour? Before and as Fauxlivia was kidnapped, when Walternate found out about her being taken, etc, the cameras were at a clear sideways tilt, but when Lincoln’s scenes was shown, he was being shot straight on. Anyone have a theory about that? Or am I reading too much into nothing?

Comments Off on THE OFFICE: First Look at Will Ferrell in Scranton
THE OFFICE had many fans in tears of bittersweet joy last night — Michael may have taken things a step closer to sailing off into the sunset with Holly, but he also announced his imminent move to Colorado to take care of Holly’s aging parents.
We’ve known for quite some time that Steve Carell (Michael) will be leaving the show, but we’re still sad about his departure.
So what’s THE OFFICE going to look like once Michael Scott’s no longer around?
Will Ferrell (ANCHORMAN, ELF, STRANGER THAN FICTION) might know the answer to that, as he’s set to appear on the show as the new “boss.”
Check out this preview for the next episode, slated to air April 14th…

FRINGE: ‘Bloodline’ Teases, Plus EPs Jeff Pinkner and J.H. Wyman Talk Peter’s Choice and the Other Universe

FRINGE fans, tonight’s hour is a big one.
Originally, I had planned on answering some fan questions about the episode, but as I watched what went down, I quickly realized there was no way to do that without potentially spoiling too much. And you know what? I don’t want to spoil you guys. This show is too darn good to have the twists and turns — and there are quite a few — spoiled.
However, I am willing to tease a few things about “Bloodline”…
GREY’S ANATOMY Recap: ‘This Is How We Do It’
March 25, 2011 by Christina Scanlon
Filed under #1 featured, Grey's Anatomy, Grey's Anatomy Recap
Okay, let’s be honest – this week’s episode of GREY’S ANATOMY could have been the best of the entire series and it wouldn’t matter, because really we’re all waiting for next week’s inevitably awesome musical episode. Still, there was some good stuff this week that we shouldn’t ignore, including a fantastic performance by Loretta Devine, alongside some juicy plotlines for many of our favorite surgeons.
For example, Lexie and Jackson are still going strong, and by going strong I mean dropping everything to get it on whenever they see each other no matter how inappropriate the location. Poor April keeps walking in on them, much to her annoyance since she still doesn’t have a sex life. She’s been on a few dates with Dr. Stark at this point, somehow managing to bring out his softer side even though he’s still a giant ass to everyone else. Things are going well until he invites her over to his place to watch a movie. If it were anyone besides Stark, this would be pretty standard code for “the sex date”, but in Stark’s case I can’t tell. Anyway all of the other residents are pretty certain that’s what it means, and their teasing causes April to freak out and cancel the date. Stark walks away sadly, and I almost feel bad for him before I remember that he’s been completely evil up until this point. No sympathy for you, Starky.
COMMUNITY Recap: ‘Critical Film Studies’

As pop-culture junkies, sometime life throws us some rather unique curveballs. For instance, the issue of how to have a “normal” conversation with absolutely no references thrown in, no quotes from last week’s 30 ROCK and no allusions to some character who influenced you as a child.
Week to week, COMMUNITY is a show that plays on that love of popular culture, lets us play around in it for a half-hour without us having to feel guilty about the fact that it takes up so much of our lives; its script—and its characters, for that matter—are so built around what already makes up the pop cultural landscape that it’s often hard to tell where the references stop and the show begins.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER Lands Chi McBride and Michael Trucco

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER has landed a couple familiar faces to appear in the final episodes of the season.
Team GMMR was on the HIMYM set today and we learned that FAIRLY LEGAL star Michael Trucco will guest star in April as Robin’s long-standing crush. Trucco’s character is nameless as of now, but Robin first encountered him years ago when she was in a relationship. Despite Trucco’s role on FAIRLY LEGAL, the potential is there for his storyline to continue into next season.
BONES: Michaela Conlin Talks Baby Hodgela

While there is no new episode of BONES airing tonight, last Thursday’s hour gave fans plenty to think about, right?
I recently caught up with BONES star Michaela Conlin (Angela) and we talked about filming “The Blackout in the Blizzard,” being in the dark on baby-related matters and if she has a gender preference for Baby Hodgela…
